Hi there chummers.
It`s been a while since i made a character for SR, so i need some suggestions.

I`m gonna make a Sammy, who is most likely gonna be more of an "support" kinda guy, since "lotsa" of cyber is gonna go towards Simrig and such.

His main occupational field is gonna be BTLs, filming/editing/whatnot, and also procuring new actresses/actors for the films.
His main method for "dispatching" some of the talent, has been giving them to the local ghoul communities and/or organ leggers.

So he ain`t gonna be the nicest guy around, but he surviving. ;)

Besides being a Sammy in the group, i thought he could also take some skill in medical stuff.

Thanks in advance for all the tips you can give.
Hope that this made any sense. :P

I think I'm missing something.

It's unclear exactly what you need help with.

if you don't get caught selling your BTLs, you will probibly be making more money from that then from Running. a friend of mine did that once. but, otrher than that, i haven/t played a Sammy since my first char 2 years ago, so, i can't help much. ^-^

Computer (Hardware) and B/R to cook/modify BTLs
Electronics and B/R to work with the electronics tools necessary for BTL production
Biotech (based on your character description) probably will be needed.
Etiquette (Media) skill for schmoozing
BTL Programming Knowledge skill to come up with design plans for cooking BTLs
Sim Programming Knowledge skill for editing/modifying simsense
BTL Dealers Knowledge skill, occupational
Medicine (Psychiatry) Knowledge skill, occupational
Acting (Simsense) Knowledge skill if you actually intend to star in your own simsenses
Directing (Simsense) Knowledge skill if you intend to direct other people

As far as ware, you might want something that gives you task pool. Like Encephalon 2 and Cerebral Booster 2.

You still need the actual tracks to produce though, which is the only thing that's missing. You need to produce the simesense yourself or buy the raw footage from someone.

But is it footage that junkies are gonna want to buy? Most BTL would be extremely high emotion pieces, as those are what the reduced overrides shine through on. It's unlikely your character is in mortal terror or extreme anger a lot. Mosr SR's by the nature of their work would "stay frosty" and be significantly more emotionally neutral than untrained observers.

That's why most BTL's or Cali Red Hots would be in emotionally or physically extreme topics... lust, love, hate, ect...

I'd imagine, though, a Simsense editor with enough talent can take even bland "raw emotion" tracks and amplify it, along with pre-cut computer generated simsense bits. It would look like hell, but BTL addicts aren't in it for the scenery, they're in it because it directly stimulates their limbic system at extreme hardware-induced levels. Not that he would be "big-time" using that strategy.

Hell, I can think of more than a few shadowruns where it would make a great BTL. Maybe that's why this character goes on runs...
