Newt kind of reminds me of name you give to a puppy because it sounded cute at the time, but as the dog gets older you look back and think: "What the hell was I thinking?"

Newt would be great for a puppy though :|

But yeah, not very SR related...despite how many people have drawn on that movie for great run ideas!

Yeah, Alice is nice and fitting.

What, are you expecting the server to be perfectly sane?

:)

Been done, as a matter of fact, the original server that I bought for DS way back in the day was named Fastjack. Good choice, though. :)

Does anyone know any names or terminologies being used for the upcoming SR4? Maybe use something from that to reflect where the game is going, not where its been. Will any of the Datahavens still exsist?

Ecclesiastes, you are the winner I've always been fond of the data havens, so I went with Nexus. The new machine will be known as nexus.dumpshock.com. Whee! :)

I'll send you a PM in the next couple of days and tell you what your prize is. :)

I know the contest is over and this is essentially a dead thread, but I just wanted to point something out.

If FastJack is a computer, he's a computer that can pull out an electronics kit and upgrade your telecom if you go by one of the examples out of the skills chapter from SR2.

It's just about ready to go online at the data center, I just have been crippled by my workload, kids home during the day for spring break, and one of our cars being in the shop. It should definitely make it to the colocation facility early next week, I just have to find about 3 spare hours to take it out there and install it.
