Maybe I'm a dunce for not being able to find this, but for the life of me, I can't find what the recommended limits are for availability of items/cyber/bioware. Someone fill me in, por favor. Thanks.
Need 'em for some PC character creation shite I'm working on right now. |

Not above rating 6, availability of 8 or lower. No betaware or deltaware for the cyber, probably no cultured bioware.

The cultured bioware thing is a suggestion, so if you're looking for strict canon it's permissible.

Hence the "probably." Since the topic has been the basis of violent debates, I chose to include it with a term of uncertainty than to leave it out or include it as a hard rule, either of which would probably lead to this being another thread for that old war.

I didn't realize there was another mention of this issue in another thread. I just needed a quick answer anyhow. Thanks. Got it. :)

No cultured Bioware is generally a pretty safe rule to adopt as otherwise there's all that problem with Cerebral Boosters. Of course availability adjustments might make that an non issue.

What's the problem with cerebral boosters? They provide a substantial bonus, but have costs appropriate for that.

The "problem" he's talking about I think is that buying a cerebral booster 2 may or may not entitle you to 10 more knowledge skills at chargen. That's what you're talking a bout, right?

Also, all neuro bioware is cultured, or at least it was in 2nd edition. This means its always cultured, therefore likely unavailable at char gen. It was in shadowtech. I'll have to look in man and machine when I can get to it to see if this is true in third as well.
