Actually, there is currently a rudimentary form of cybereyes (you get a general 3-d outline of things in your way) in use today, and cyberears are currently in development by Texas Instruments. There's also some research going on for a doodad that can be placed in a paralysed person's brain which would let them move the mouse cursor on a screen (although moving a wheelchair is likely not far off.)
Cyberteeth are all very interesting, but I'd rather have my phone in a over-the-ear pickup/speaker system similar to the bluetooth models sold today. It would be fantastically hard to do, but possible. |
