Aahhhh. *Dismissive hand gestures* Barrett's are for amateurs that can't make headshots. nyahnyah.gif

Why make headshots when any shot from this thing is lethal? 8)

Actually AV-mine to the ass, like my group did last run, is actually quite as much fun. We never found out were all the oppositions parts went until we had to split.

1 kilometer is over five hundred Smoots!

if that was directed at me, I apologize however I find it easier to estimate range in RL in the un-urban and don't really know how long one standard city block is. if there is such a thing. I do know that most of the city blocks I've seen are in the 60-70 meter or so range. (and what the heack is a smoot anyway?)

Don't know how I missed this the first time...

The Steyr SSG, Ray's write-up, seems to be fairly well received and at a fifteen hundred bucks a throw can't be too bad. For top of the line rifles you could look at the Accuracy Internal L96/AW series of rifles. At a little over four thousand dollars each though they're a little on the pricey side but you get what you pay for I suppose. :) Surprised Raygun missed them off his site.

Well, I do have this one. As for the rest of the AI rifles, it shouldn't be terribly difficult to add them, and I might as well. They are very good rifles, but finding any solid official info about them might be a pain at the moment. The company is in the midst of some corporate turmoil. Must have something to do with Malcolm Cooper having died.

Don't know how much this helps, but since you basically never need to shoot someone at 749 metres in Shadowrun, my primary evil NPC sniper dude (because I never get to play) has a custom rifle as follows.

Sport rifle template, bullpup configuration, short-barrelled, burst-fire capability, increased power, Smartlink 2, heavy barrel, stick a sound supressor on it and make it clip-fed. With a clip of fifteen or so, you have a concealable (about 4, from memory) vicious little weapon that ranges out to some rediculous range despite the short barrel, is suppressed, delivers an 11S every time with EX ammo and can go up to 14D when it matters, and it can also be hidden under a long coat and produced when needed. Also, because there isn't a minimum range in Shadowrun on rifles (not that there should be) you can use it with your Rifles skill as basically a suppressed Assault Rifle.

Evil? Yes. Satisfying when released on PCs? You have no idea.
