Me and some of the guys are starting to put together a few concept ideas for Louisville in the Shadowrun Era. I just figured I would pick the brains of some of the players from the Louisville surrounding area.

Also, if there is any information available about what happens in this part of the country, I would love some leads.

Thanks for any help.

I have never been to Louisville, but I think that there should be Louisville sluggers.

Did you ever play the PC game "Rise of the Triad"? They had a weapon called the "excalibat". It was a dusty becobwebbed Louisville slugger that glowed an ominous mystic green. If you hit an enemy with it you would knock the enemy high into the sky and do tremendous damage. You could also charge it up and fire exploding missile-like baseballs at the enemies.

So, you definitely need really old Louisville sluggers which are weapon foci.

Cool. Glad to see I'm not the only SR geek in the area. 8)

Couple of things to consider --
(1) Given the way construction is going now and expansion out 64 East, It wouldn't be a shock to find the Louisville-Lexington-Frankfort have consolidated into one sprawl (yeah, heresy to Lexingtonians, but they can get their own question).

(2) We are, ummm, not too terribly far from the UCAS/CAS border. Given the state of affairs, that lends itself to all sorts of smuggling and political runs.

(3) Amazingly enough, UK's medical center ranks in the top 10 on a number of research items. Assuming evolution continues, that means a quick jump over to some primo smash-and-grab contracts.

Hope that helps. :D

Think they finally got the bridge built? I've also heard of plans for a monorail.

Oh sure, now someone from Louisville posts, after I've been out of the state for a year. :)

I'll probably move back this summer, but to Lexington instead.
