Yep, all characters sent in by midnight on the 23rd will be given the once over.

So please submit something if you want.

As stated above the main thing I will be looking for is an excellent background.

The characters that will eventually be part of the game will be the ones with good BG's that can also be woven in with the other players.

So obviously loners and short-tempered vindictive people will probably not be selected just because they do not work well as a team, and would not work well with others. Also munchkin characters and the like will not be selected.

Also there will be no custom gear, weapons or vechicles at the start. All custom items must be bought or built in play.

Okay, not to sound dumb, but how do I send in a character sheet to you? And what types of characters do you have on the team so far that are approved, so I can get mine made up tonight?

Then what am I supposed to do? I've only got one weapon other than the Holy Shotgun, and NSCRG won't let me go back and change anything about my character now that I've finalized it (that's one thing I hate about that program - well, one of a few things actually).

hunter you should save right before you finalized, and then when you do finalize save that file as like "CHARNAME-FIN" thats what I do, it keeps you from having to start from square one if you forget something important.

I was just scanning over the posts on this and I noticed the character "The Rose", if the group of runners has been together for a while then (assuming both get in) Spencer, my private investigator, would definately have something to offer to him, since he's looking for someone and thats my char's speciality, finding missing things, or telling wifes thier husband is cheating on them. Just a thought.

With that last bit in mind do all the characters know one another or is it going to be everyone meeting for the first time. You may have already answered that but I couldn't find it.

The way it is shaping up right now most, if not all, of the characters will be meeting for the first time. The plan is that something from their BG's (or current jobs) will bring them all together.

Example: a bunch of the characters have BG's that mention that they have run against S-K and succeeded (so they thought), so I pick these characters for the game and it involves them trying to stay alive once Lofwyr comes-a-call'in for payback. Now do they work for him to pay off the "debt" or go on the run to try and stay alive? This is just an example, not what the plot will be about (unless I do get a bunch of BG's with that  )

No character has been set in stone yet (approval wise), and a few of the characters sent in are simular, so do not let previous entries that are simular to your own to stop you from submitting him/her, as I have said final choice will be based on having a good BG that can work well/blend in with other characters.

Basically I am going to choose the best submission (in the sense that it is a character that is well balanced and has an interesting BG) and then select other characters that have been submitted that have something about them that also could add to a major plotline and important subplots.

Once this has been desided I'll let everyone know who has been selected.

Just so you know, it will not be entirely based on the your submission (don't take it bad if you are not selected) but rather on which group of characters inspire my imagination and would combine to make the best storyline.

GRIFTER - you can email it to me at jjparton@hotmail.com and just make up a character that you would like to play and have a good history/BG for.

HMHVV Hunter - Sorry, about that. Just let me know what you want to do (maybe just use a normal shotgun for now) and I can change it on my master sheet.

Since PM still does not seem to be working, just post here when you email me (my spam filter is high and emails from people not on my contact list will get sent to junk mail) and I'll be able to go and pull them out.

Also post any questions here, I'll be checking back quite often as it gets closer to the deadline)

thanks

I think I'll replace it with a Franchi SPAS-22 then. (1,000 :nuyen: )

Add-ons:
Gas Vent IV (1,000 :nuyen: )
Shock Pads (200 :nuyen: )
Laser sight (standard; under mount) (500 :nuyen: )

Total for weapon and its add-ons: 2,700 :nuyen:

My Holy Shotgun cost 2,900.

I'm keeping the clips allocated for the Holy Shotgun and using them on the SPAS, so no changes needed there.

So my character gets 200 nuyen back. After dividing that by 10 (for the end-of-creation nuyen counting), that means he actually gets 20 back.

Would it be possible for everyone who has sent me a submission to post here with their characters name?

The problem I am having is that I get 7 or 8 emails a day of submissions, but no one is including their dumpshock name in the email, so I do not know if the streetsam character I just recieved came from Grifter or Germish or if the mage character is from someone who hasn't posted, so I do not know which character belongs to which player.

If you could do a quick post telling me who your character is that would be great and make things much easier.

And anyone who is still going to submit a character, could you please include your Dumpshock name in the email.

Thanks.

Edges/Flaws are open-ended, but must be balanced out (i.e. 5pts in edges = 5pts. in flaws).
