If you love deciding how to spend your combat pool, isn't that time well spent? I normally play games to enjoy what I'm doing. |

Its being sat there while everyone else decides where they are putting their pool dice (especially mages from personal experience) that makes me think i can happily live without them :wobble: |

Our group has never had a problem with this. It's like deciding who to shoot first. By the time it comes around to the player, they know what they're going to do. I'm going to miss you combat pool.

I both liked and hated compbat pools.
It did give the players a chance to have a tactical option in combat deciding how it was going to be spent. It slowed down my game when I ran it as people ummed and Ahhed about how much to spend on this action. It also had a few meta gaming effects which kinda annoyed me. Its the last action this round so I will use all my compbat pool knowning I am safe. That kind of thing. At the end of the day I wont miss the loss of pools much as it removes annoyances and my players can always just preform in character tactical play as opposed to out of character stuff. So they still have flexability. |
