Personally, I didn't think it was anti-female... I actually do agree with your whole "Cosmo" opinion.
 Crap! I AM PLAYING A SINGLE MOM! That hadn't actually sinked in. |

We're a fine bunch....a Drunk, an unwed mother, and a junkie with a teenage junkie hooker girlfriend. It'd make a great episode on springer i bet.
If only there were trailer parks in the sprawl LOL :D no offence to those that may live in one. |

Ok, so it looks like my next major post is going to be on Saturday, since I'm a bit swamped right now, Sorry folks! Just a few things.
Ernie, you are, in fact, invisable :) Hank, when meet time comes around, you are going to be SMASHED. I'm giving you a little leeway (hint hint, if you wanna edit your post). Jack, you will prolly make it Matchsticks on-time, but you may be a little ripe when you get there. It's a long walk. Possibly, possibly, friday, I'll tie up some of the stuff you guys are looking into right now. Then definately Saturday I'll work up the next big leg of the story, the meet. Just letting everybody know that i havn't forgot about you. I'm visiting family right now. |

Hank, your drinks and stuff are covered by your lifestyle. You are also currently nursing Moderate stun from all the beer.
Ernie, you are still invisable and at Matchsticks. Ludi, yeah, you're at Matchsticks now. Jack, your cab fare is covered by your lifestyle, and you are at Matchsticks. I hope that I didn't jump ahead and take too many liberties here. If I have overstepped, let me know! Anyways, sorry it took a while to get posted up, as I said earlier I was out of town. Great participation so far folks! |

Hope I havn't done anything too crazy here. As always, if anybody has any problem whatsoever with my style, let me know and we'll try to rectify the situation. I will be on my days off for Wednesday and Thursday, but come friday will be back in action, so if you want, you can take your time thinking before you post, or more importantly, decide amongst yourselves what the course of action should be for the meet. This is a good opportunity to introduce your characters to one another and will likely be a good opportunity to foster some team trust, so don't waste it ;)
edit: Also, I doubt I'll have time to update the plotline on the Stardust website, just so you all know. (Not that anyone is interested, the site is mainly there to help me easily reference the characters, so I appreciate all of you who are hosting your characters. Helps a lot.) |

ok I'm thinking we have 2 go in the net and 2 stay out maybe have ludi and hank go in they have some good skills that could get us a good deal and get us more information then someone like Jack speaking for the group.
But I'm not sure if hank could willingly leave his body that vulnerable. so maybe have ernie go in with ludi instead. thats just my thoughts so far. but no one has said much yet |

As she said: Ludi is going in and cares very little what the others do. She trusts Matchstick's security enough to keep tabs on what is going on.

Jack and Ludi
You have both been awarded 2 good karma points for great participation. Hank and Ernie Still waiting for you guys. I'm not one to resort to pestering players with PM's so if you plan on being AFK, let me know if you want me to NPC Ernie and Hank, or some other alternative. |

well ludi's mind has really taken over "Mister Juan's mind" you hasn't it. i speak not as my character in this thread just giving ideas and comments. i keep up with what everyone is doing in game.
and i just love how we are all getting along, i know jacks here for a job and the job will be done with a crew and the crew is these other people at the table, thou he has never seen any of them before he introduces himself and now everyone know at least his name. as for hank and ludi who have posted they just state that they do what they want and don't care about the other possible teammates sitting next to him, as for me i don't like how this is going and I'm not sure how jacks going to take a cold shoulder from everyone in the room all at once. on a side note: what matchstickes security are you so trustful of? i only see 2 ork's that are not part of MS's crew in here and who knows what other people in the bar has weapons seeing they didn't stop anyone at the door who had weapons. I'm sure MS's wouldn't want anything going down in there back room but I'm not sure if something did go down that they could really do that much and/or if they did anything useful I'm really not sure it would be useful in "our teams" favor. i don't mind being reckless sometimes but come on. |

I'm not getting your first sentence exactly, but since I'm bored I'll put in some for the rest.
Basically, I think Mister Juan's character feels that if someone were to try something, not only would they have to deal with Lone Star (a bunch of people seeing them in the club), they would also no longer be welcome at MS, and would prolly piss off whoever the real power behind the place is (I think one of the syndicates, I'd have to check to be sure) since the big murder and shootout at their place would kill business for a while I'm sure. But yes, there is not a lot Matchsticks can do if the people you're meeting tried something nefarious. At least not in time to stop it before it happens. As far as the cold shoulder, I don't know what's up with that. I Expect that they are just holding the introductions until business is complete, then they'll hob-knob. If not, then there could be some tension on this run to say the least. :) |

well my self wouldn't like to commit to a job with complete strangers, not knowing anyone involved. it would be different if i know hank and hank knew ludi and ludi knew ernie even thou hank and jack didn't know earie if you get my drift. but just meeting at a bar and having a meeting over the net to take a job with 3 complete strangers. without know there rep/skills/even just there name doesn't sit right with me or jack. i don't expect to know everyone life story before someone heads into the net for the meeting and I'm sure Stone would be too mad if we don't jump onto the net meeting right away I'm sure the guy here with fill him in later that we all arrived on time and was just introducing ourselfs before we got down to business.

A lot of that is just the business you're in. Think about it this way. You don't know shit about the people you're running with, but they don't know jack about you. If the run goes to shit, they don't have anything worthwhile to tell the cops.
Also, if you feel the group should chat a little before "troding" in, then feel free to have Jack interrupt (In-character), and explain how he's thinking about this. There is the possibility also, that seeing the situation, a very cautious runner might even walk away from the meet (or at least threaten to). Take the opportunity to really make an effort to size up these runners and find out what they're all about. Oh BTW, your perception roll to see what everybody's packing. You scored 1 success. Basically you can tell that everyone here except the young man is packing something. But you can't be sure what type of weapons they are. They're most definately weapons though. |

Ok... I'm not completely sure I get this statement. I really don't mind explaining Ludmila's actions. It is quite simple: since she doesn't know about the job yet, she has no idea if she will accept it or not. If she does, she intends to give a little bit more information about herself to the rest of the team (but then again, we all have our little secrets! :D) Let's pretend she doesn't take the job and simply walks away: she will not know anything about those who took it, and vice versa. Its a kind of "security blanket" if you wish. You don't know me, I don't know you: no one can rat on no one if something goes sour. Also, keep in mind she as almost always worked only with people she knew from the mob, and so, introducing herself isn't something that would come immediately in her mind. But anyways, everything Frosty said is totaly on the mark. Even the way he interpreted Ludi's remark about "she'll trust Matchsticks". She knows she could simply be killed while connected to the trodes, and that is a risk she is ready to take. She also knows that anyone who tries something in Matchsticks would probably dearly regret it afterwards. I am sure that people pay for these "private rooms", and that it is a very profitable business for MS. Some bloodbath taking place would be horrible for them! It isn't something impossible, just improbable... in Ludi's opinion at least. Anyways: if someone wants to off you, they'll find a way of doing it. It's a question of how far they're willing to go. I guess this pretty much covers it all. I'm glad you asked for some explanation :) If there is anything else I can do, please tell. |
