Music for you!

Seeing music dissected like this seems like a primo run opportunity: evil music producers hire runners must infiltrate a music company and alter their software to recommend a certain pop group to folks who might not otherwise be interested. In a push-button age, breeders will buy whatever music the machine tells them they'll like...

There are shadowruns everywhere....

Sounds better as an attack than a way to increase your income, once you consider the complaints and lost customer good will.

Well worth considering if performed buy a rival music compony.

Better still, you could make it look like it was a rival music company, when it was actually a musician who is using the downfall of his recording studio to get out of his contract and get some free publicity. The sad part is, music producers (who ARE evil #$#@$@#s, almost all of them) are working on ways to completely synthesize and automate music production to maximize sales, even if it completely ruins the psyches of millions of young girls and sounds like crap.

I have a question.

How is this any different from the boy bands and Britney Spears we have now?

Don't they all lip-sync it anyway? Haven't they all lip-sync'd it since New Kids on the Block?

Yes, but now they're editing the voices so that we'll buy them; it's like ergonomics for your temporal lobe. In other words, you're listening to the audiatory equivlaent of a dirty McDonalds.
