Cyberarms start at Bod, Str, and Agil at 3 and you can only add +3 to any of those with enhancements without a Cyber torso. So if you're reading the rules literally a Troll with a cyberarm you can only ever have it up to average strength for a Troll without replacing his torso.
What I suggested is having the stats for a cyber arm for whatever Metahuman race its designed for be minimum strength +2. So a Troll's Cyber Arm would be Str 7, Agil 3, and Bod 7 and a Humans would remain 3 across the board. Thoughts? |

Why would the human not buy the troll arm? Consistency is atleast as important as game balance.

Because the Troll arm is the size of him? Same reason he wouldn't buy Troll legs or a Troll torso. Another option is to change the wording on the rule so that you can't raise an arms stats above the starting maximum for the Meta in question without a Cyber torso. All Cyber arms start at 3 and a Troll can raise it to 10 but a Human could only raise it to 6. Also sorry, I ment to put this thread in the SR4 forum. |

Ah, well, then this is where our misunderstanding began...
I imagined every cyber-arm being the same size, and thus the troll had a wimpy human-sized/strengthed arm. If the troll arm is larger (Which only makes sense) then it should justly be much stronger, simply for being bigger at the least... |
