I have combed the archives to see if anyone else was producing publications and it looks like they all died off.

I am interested in publishing free resources for SR3 since I will not be moving to SR4.

I would like to produce a pdf publication with the following content sections once a month following a theme set for that issue.

1 - A short story
2 - a new archtype
3 - a new critter
4 - a new weapon
5 - a new drone or vehicle
6 - a new spell formula
7 - a new artifact
8 - a new piece of gear to appear on the streets (cyber/bio/gear/toxin/drug)
9 - possibly a bonus section. (article for GM's/city profile/matrix system/location/hangout)

Anyone staying with SR3 interested in contributing?

When I was running my SR3 campaign a couple years back, I started putting out an in-character newsletter for the players called Ka-Ge Reborn (KGR for short) which basically included everything you mentioned.

Now that the running bug is bitting again, I'll be starting KGR up again. Perhaps we could conspire? :cyber:

I might be able to provide some fiction if I can crack this damn writer's block. I'd need the theme, though.

What works for me sometimes is tossing out 4 seemingly unrelated topics and trying to figure out something that gets them to go together. Like pirates, monkeys, and confectionaries. Well ok not the best list since it only has 3 items and those are clearly related in that everyone loves monkeys, pirates, and pasteries. :)

So how about a bit more random, thanks to the free magic of the web.

That is actually a process called lateral thinking and works really well for idea generation. Every new idea is essentially a combination of old ideas.

I am totally into conspiring with others, and would prefer it.

BTW I am not an Nazi editor , I am really into collaboration, but I would like to hold some people to somewhat a deadline so we can release the publication,

So theme would you like to start with? Here are some ideas.

Japanese, Galdiators, Halloween, Natural disasters, wild west, tibet, digging into the earth's crust? Feel free to post your own ideas.

I would be interested in providing some content for this. All you need to do is tell me what the topic is, when it is due, and the general format you want and I will get it done.

I can do 1-2 page fiction pretty easily, artifacts would be a lot of fun, spells and gear I am not that current on but I am willing to try, architypes are OK.

Just let me know via PM or email.

Ok ... so I would like to try and coordinate an issue release for October 15th.

Is there any particular theme that we would like to run with?
I was thinking the first could be related to Desert Tribes, unless someone has a new theme that they would like to pitch.

1 - A short story -- anyone interested in picking up this theme? (Jrayjoker??)
2 - a new archtype -- medicine healer, chief, warrior, adolescent
3 - a new critter -- sand worm
4 - a new weapon -- modified ak98
5 - a new drone or vehicle -- desert quads and pack vehicles (possibly solar powered)
6 - a new spell formula -- sand storm (would be heck on vehicles and enemies)
7 - a new artifact -- ??? -- divining rod? a spirit trapped in a totem that influences the tribe?
8 - a new piece of gear to appear on the streets -- solar power generator and storage
9 - possibly a bonus section. -- the details of the tribe

Anyone willing to adopt a section or propose an alternate?

I will leave this open for a while, if someone wants to adopt sections, I will try and pick up the slack and fill in what people do not want.

How do you want information for editing submitted? I can do an artifact and a story with tie-ins to each other.

first I wanted people to "claim" sections. Once they have claimed a section they can submit the content for that section in either text, doc, or rtf by either email or other format that works for them. I will compile the document into a pdf with graphics for presentation. any proposed changes will be reviewed with the person that submitted it. I am not into sticking words in people's mouths.

I'll do the artifact + a short story (400-500 words). They will be related.

Sorry for the late date Nyxll (forgot to check back on this thread). Are you covering the archtypes, or would you like some help? I was thinking about Medicine Healer (full magician shaman), Spirit Dancer (aspected conjurer), Spirit Warrior (adept), and Tribal Soldier archtypes.

Let me know.

I worked on a tribal sentry something a little more mundane, and Pace is working on some as well, I guess some additional archtypes would not hurt.

What I need are some additional critters. (I have 2 kind of lame ideas)
most of all I need a piece of gear, that would be useful in the desert.
An atmosphere water reclaimer, or something.

I do not want to discourage anyone from contributing.

What we can do is start planning the next issue, and possibly come up with a name for it. I threw out "The 6th World Update", but I am not really happy with it.

My wife and I were bouncing ideas ... and we came up with titles for the different sections and a name for the publication.

The Rythm Underground

Table of Contents:
1. Beyond the Corp: (short story)
2. Most Wanted: (new archtypes)
3. Critters: (new creatures)
4. The Armoury: (new weapon)
5. Wings and Wheels: (new drone or vehicle)
6. Hocus Pocus: (new spell)
7. Rare Relics: (new artifact)
8. Gizmos and Gadgets: (new gear or cyberware)

Feedback from the dev crew would be awesome.

Unless it is impossible, can we fit the blade onto one sheet? Perhaps making game effects into a two column section at the bottom of the page? Or reducing the font by one point?

I like the banner and the artwork. Is it all original?

Looking over what you've got already (love it, btw), I think I'll hold off on submissions this round. The stuff I was thinking of wouldn't fit.

thanks for the feedback guys.

I took images I have and very heavily modified them.

I can fit the blade onto one sheet ... I was just working out a quick layout ... and wanted you guys to look at the formatting and header. I will fill in the details.

There is more than enough room NightmareX, the pages are not set in stone ... it is a quick mockup just to show some basics. I have the story ... I am pluging it in, I will have a pdf with it later on. This is completely a team effort, I am willing to lead and pick up the slack, but I do not want to steamroll anyone. I made room for more submissions.

I will put a copy on delta grade, and I would assume that people are free to distribute it.
If you and nightmare wanted to setup something for hosting that would be great as well. There will always be a flew places where it will be hosted.

Hopefully if we get enough issues out, others would like to host mirrors.

I have a free website for my (now stalled) campaign, I can put a link up, but the file size is dramatically limited, and I think downloads are more than free.

I'm cheap, what can I say?
