Tempty looks down at the little halfer. "Listen up halfer, I don't know you from anyone, so if you want to know anyone, at any time in the future I would leave this club, immediately, and I wouldn't ever come back here." she tells him, not liking the fact that he was in her business, and that she might have to off him if he kept talking, and possibly if he didn't. She did not like someone poking around right after a run, not one bit, and esppecially someone who knew of some crime that had been committed. Though as crimes go, self-defense wasn't so bad, it was just the stuff that it would lead to. Even if the dwarf was slightly familair, and she was willing to accept that he was, knowing about the stuffer shack put him on her better off dead list.

"Woa! Easy gal." said the troll although his actions proved otherwise as he stepped down from the stool and flanked Jack putting him between Tempty and the big troll.
Towering over the dwarf he addressed him in a slow menacing voice. "Whot iz a Wang Chi chummer? And why da'ya com'ere, to us, talkin' of dis stuff? We don't do dem Sushi barz here and you won't get any drugz here ei'der...So I suggest you come clear or get out..." The troll blinked as if a fly was in his ear but then was back to his staring down the dwarf... |

Jack is taken aback, puts his beer down, stands up and looks up.
" Sorry for the mistaken identity. Wang Chi said you were a friend. Guess I was wrong. " Jack goes to the other end of the bar and orders another Bridgeport. |

"Dwarfy got ballz...Da-ya know 'em?" Hammer smirked at Tempty while nodding towards the retreating dwarf. He was itching to know more and even if Tempty didn't want anything to do with the stumpie he could ...meet... the poor dwarf outside in a dark alley to see where he knew Wang Chi from.
Downing some of his coctail he shook his head as if taken aback by the after-effect. The truth though was that this whole thing with the mystical adept was not sitting allright in his stomach. This could only mean one thing. Mark had only stayed alive because he usualy listened to the feelilngs his guts gave him. |

"I think I'll try and get Jain to give use the back room for half an hour, see what we can't get out of him. If he's just a harmless kook, then again, well he might not be." Tempty tell Hammer before slipping off through the crowd to put a word in the manager's ear, not to mention a small bit of grease for his palm. Not as large as normal, but certainly enough to look the other way for the boss's girl to use a backroom when it wasn't already needed.

As Jack was sent off to another side of the bar, Celia determined that those he had been chatting with were related to Wang Chi (and thus, her own mission). ::Just great; they don't seem too interested in talking, do they?::
Snake merely gave a mental shrug as she took her own seat at the bar. This one was at the opposite end of Jack (or inbetween him and the others if it's one long length, heh. Not certain. >.<) She ordered one the closest thing to wine (better still, wine, red), and made herself comfortable. ::You're just going to sit there and drink?:: Celia played with a straw as her order was dealt with. ::No, I plan to summon another watcher in a moment. Just waiting for something to drink silly.:: And so, once her drink arrived (wine, of course) She took her first sip before beginning the process of making another watcher spirit.... ::?:: This time it was one of the quiet sort, and it was prompt to ask what she wanted. ::Go near the Troll and his friend over there. Tell me what they say, please.:: |

Jack is pissed off as he orders another beer. Celia is not talking to him. The Ho insulted him and the cape crusader looks like he wants to take him outback and have a physical conversation. Jack is going to hunting mode..watch, listen and wait for strike. Reminds himself not to go anyplace with anybody that is not public.
Jack than proceeds to a table with a wall to his back and waits. |

As Jack is nursing his third beer, he starts thinking. These are not normal folk. Think Minks in a breeding freenzy. Wang Chi described their skills for a run. It was determined they did not have enough of the right skills.
Jack checks his phone for messages and the user groups he belongs to. Maybe Wang Chi tried contacting him through the matrix. |

::I can't get in! Mmmmmmmff! Magic walls! Waah!::
Celia directed the spirit to keep an eye on Jack for her to silence its complaints, a bit put out by the situation. The whole glass of wine went down in one stroke, and wa shortly refilled with a signal to the bartender. Snake seemed to be in a more thoughtful mood than a dissappointed one. ::And why aren't you getting in a fuss about us not getting information?:: The spirit gave a mental shrug. ::Because there is not so much lost in not being able to hear what they say, only in that we cannot personally see them. Under the circumstances, we have several advantages to the request of your employers. They simply want information, not a track down. It benefits them in that, unless they tear out your brain, they don't know who they are.:: Thanks to past history, Celia caught on to what Snake was getting at. ::And even if they do want it, what is to stop us from giving them bogus runners to search for, or saying they are dead from some incident?:: ::Precccissely/:: The Mage of the Serpent downed half her glass this time. Temptation held her to finish it off, but she needed her head fully about her. Besides, no reason I can't find myself a nice bottle to take home later...or just drink one of several home already. And the planning began... |

Jack watches Tempty and the troll go to the back and wonders how much this is costing the troll for the Ho?
I watch the two and wonder: :: did they hurt Wang Chi or will they help. Odds are they hurt him, but why take his body from Stuffer Shack when they left the thrill gang corpses behind? Am I ever confused. When confused order another beer and talk to my pet rock.:: ::Rocky...Any advice?:: |

Mark had mingled withthe crowds while Tempty was securing them a private room. He made a cursury round up of the club trying to find anything looking like the dwarf was not alone in here. He failed miserably.
The troll suddenly made a small jerk of his head while blinking. Getting used to hiding his recently installed internal commlink was nearly finished, there were just some minor surprising moments when it kicked in inside him. Luckily he had worked it down to jerks and spasms of his facial muscles which rarely gave anything away. Tempty had secured the room. 'Now comes the hard part.' he thought as he made a very obvious way of getting up ordering another coctail and a beer for the dwarf. He approached Jack setting the drinks on the table and slidding the cold mug towards the dwarf with one finger. Mark cocked his head sidways as he studied the shortest man for a while in silence. When he spoke he finally spoke slow and in determination, "Man you gotz some ballz comin' ere an'waggin yer tongue like dat! But dat not alwayz bad. Sometimez people get wot dey want only by bein' blunt." Mark took a few seconds to let things sink in, on second thoughts he realised he shouldn't be doing the talking. That was never his strong point in life..."Ya came 'ere lookin' fer somet'ink. I tell you wot. How'z'about I listen ta yer questionz and see if I can guide ya towardz ans'erz?" Glancing around the troll still hadn't managed to discover anyone backing up the dwarf. That was not good. Either the dwarf was completely insane coming in here alone or he had good shoulders to lay on... "'ere'z da plan. You and me and my comely friend...we go nice and quiet to the back for a few words. Brin' yer friendz wit you so as to feel safer if ya need. See I know a bit about de streetz and I might be able to help ya." |

"Its better to talk in private about certain things in this business. Besides, we all came passed the bouncers, so we know you aren't armed just like you know we aren't, and if there are any problems, the bouncers will settle our hash, soka?" Tempty asks the dwarf.

Rocky thinks hard:
:: Nuts and bolts, nuts and bolts you will get screwed :: Jack says: "Listen Ho. I do not know which of you is paying the other, but You insult me and then you want me to goto a back room. My friend described you very well, but he did not say you had a second profession, and that troll could snap me in half without blinking. You get the rest of the hunters in the back and I will join you." Thinking the drink is drugged, Jack pushes the beer back towards the troll. Jack does not remember Wang Chi ever describing the troll, wondering how it looks in a pink cape and mask? |

Rocky thinks HArd again:
::Tis better to be thought a fool, than to open ones mouth and remove all doubt:: Jacks thinks: ::Shit, I am not very good at meeting people. I just insulted the Ho:: "Lady, I apologize. I am told I am very poor at talking with people. I am better with rocks. It has been a stressful day and I am worried about my friend. I would feel better talking in public as I have nothing to hide Truthfully the two of you scare me very much" |

Tempty almost snarled atthe little dwarf's insult, "I am most definitely not a joy girl, Dwarf. What I am is a runner, and professionals simply do not discuss private matters in public where they can be overheard. That is just the way this business is. Look, I have no clue what hunnters you are talking about, all I know is that you have been following me for at least a day. This business is not a game for amateurs, you will get dead. The only reason I am not going to kill you is that you look familiar, and its possibile Wang Chi did introduce us. I don't want to off a chummer of his, but it only stretches so far. I need you to convince me that whatever it was you came here to say is worth my time, and the risk of letting someone who has followed me for at least a day go."
"If there is someone else you want to bring to the back to make you feel comfortable, fine, but stop wasting my time. You came to us." |

Mark started looking left and right annoyed. Any bystander standing too close for comfort or making eye contact was met with a cold stare that promised something slow and extremely painful until they turned their gaze or forced him to approach them for a better convincing...
Slacker: [ Spoiler ] As soon as he is happy that everything is clear and their conversation did not seem like it has been picked up he turns back to the other too and lowers his voice to the lowest possible for his throat. At the same time he smiles as if he is about to tell a joke... "Okey. Me thinkz 'nough'z been said already... Now we eider go in da back 'n talk...An'I promise we talk! Or ya walk out now and we meetz again fer dat talk some oder time..." Somehow Jack gets the feeling that the troll won't be pleased with that second option as a solution. "If ya tell me ya cam'ere wit no one watchin' yer back den man yer askin' fer trouble. Now if ya don'mind..." the troll made an ushering motion but making it painfully obvious he wasn't touching the dwarf...Just gesturing. Throughout the talk he had the stupid grin on his face as if making a chit chat but somehow his anxious and bass tone gave out the gravity of what he was saying... |

Not far from the bar, in downtown Seattle, Taku is watching a pretty stupid Trid movie about Ninjas while sipping a cup of green tea. The Stuffer Shack incident had injured him and he had decided to rest until he felt better, instead of following his usual daily routine. His wounds were from firearms but they were not deep and he already felt almost as good as new. The lack of physical exercise for the day was compensated by long meditations which energised his soul instead. He decided that he would put extra time on running and lifting the next morning, but for now he enjoyed the relaxing evening. It was also an excellent time to call his old friend Yoko and have a chat - it had been more than a week since last time they talked to each other.
"Konnichi wa Yoko, what's new? Anything exciting with your biz?" |

::Make like a tree and leave:: Jack thinks this is a great idea but how does he get around that troll wall and firestorm lady with the volatile temper and wild red hair? Jack is thinking he likes his bars with more sawdust and peanuts on the floor. Jack is wondering why Celia is staying in the shadows, He could sure use some help because he is outnumbered and outgunned. Jack spies the open both in the corner. "lady Firestorm, you have such pretty hands and I really like looking at them, Unlike your wall friend here with his ruined gloves. Shall we go to that open both in the corner and talk? I will follow you.." As Jack tries to follow the wall and firestorm, he is looking for a way out of this mess. Making like a leaf seems like a very good idea. |

Tempty blinks, 'lady Firestorm?' maybe the halfer is daft? shruggng, she looks over the booth and nods, it would make for an acceptable compromise. Tempty nods, "The booth is acceptable, Hammer, can you please go ahead and make sure no one takes it please? I'll just keep our friend here company, to make sure he doesn't think better of telling us what he knows about any trouble facing our mutual acquaintance." Tempty will walk over to the booth, staying beside the dwarf the entire waay, she certainly wasn't going to let him behind her, and she was already getting annoyed at the little halfer for making her jump through fragging hoops to make sure nothing was coming down on her.

"Let's cool down. One way or de oder we get to da bottom of dis, gal. Stumpie over 'ere won't get far tonite oderwise. So let's try'n keep dis civil-like to any lookerz." Somehow the words were alien coming out in the Troll's pittiful attempts at whispering in a loud club while pretending to be smiling...
Hammer hastes towards the free cubicle to ensure that nobody else takes it and sits down in what he considers opposite to the position that would allow the most defensible seating and greatest view to the rest of the club. He intents to leave the dwarf at ease if he can for the time being. Any majour ruckus here even if it was between Tempty and Jack would get him marked as well and that was not acceptable. Should the dwarf need to go a trip to the wet side of the moon, the troll was sure that Jack would not see another sunrise. But there were other ways to do that which were less incriminating. 'This ain't good man...This ain't my kind'a thing...I make people dead I don't try to keep them alive...' he thought as he signaled a woman he recognised as a waitress to serve the booth he sat in. |

There was always a problem with carrying a purse - the common being that you lose track of items within it. Celia had been wasting time trying to find the commlink she had recovered, as well as a few parts taht came off without her knowing.
Her watcher spirit, however, has having a much more entertaining time than her, following Jack and the other two to the booth (after a quick re-ordering to have it relay words and follow). ::It seems the wee one has a good bit of luck in him.:: Snake said in amusement. ::Somehow I don't think he'll agree with you on that statement:: There was, however, a small situation now....There was the watcher spirit, and possibly another spirit in near quarters - surely there would be some sort of interaction? Celia never did mention her use of spirits to the dwarf... |

I have enough trouble with the walking wall and this firestorm is not letting me make my escape.:: "lady firestorm: before we get down to your polite conversation, I need to use the outhouse. Tempty trailed fluidly behind the dwarf as he moved to the restroom, not wanting to let the little one out of her sight for long, and certainly not wanting him to get away. She was thoroughly displeased by this turn of events, she did not want him to go anywhere she could not follow since, she didn't know if he had mana. Considering it for a moment, she sent Hammer a message that he should follow the dwarf into the restroom to prevent any....well, preventable occurance. She went back to the table to wait for the pair.

::Duck and Cover, Duck and Cover:: Jack looks over his shoulder at the wall troll getting up from the table and heading his way. Jack quickly goes through the cowboy door. With no one in the room, Jack throws an Invisibility spell and wait for the troll to enter. As the troll enters the dwarf goes out and towards the booth. He waits for the troll to show up spitting mad and goes visible. Passing the drink to the wall troll and smiling. |

Celia ended up being bored with just sitting there pretending she was casual; her wine back in hand (and nearly empty again) while she watched the table with Jack and Tempty and (presumably) the troll known as Hammer (I'm just using the names for the sake of identity). ::No wonder he's a paramedic; he probably gets a lot of practice on himself.::
Fortunately, the magic act the dwarf had apparently used (it surprised Celia to find out the dwarf was also a mage) didn't throw off the watcher spirit at all, and if she was deteremined to track him more so, she could have done the same. ::Do you think we should interfere now so he does not get taken out back?:: This time Celia got to give Snake the mental smirk. ::Not yet, and not in person; we do have someone at the table at all - besides Jack. The Spirit can play speaker for us if we need it.:: ::Ah, but He does not neccessarily know just how good a mage you are. Or inventive.:: Celia made a mock pout before finishing her wine for the night. ::Spoilsport.:: The snake merely gave her a mental chuckle. |
