TinkerGnome
Not according to this guy. But who knows.
Chance359
Mine was just sent in.
crechebaby

FXcalibur
Sent'd.
Number 6
Are we going to recieve notification that we're in before the Tuesday deadline?
Shadow
I imagine Tink will let us know today if were in.

Hmm, maybe I should go back to calling him TKG. Tink sounds to much like Tinkerbell.

Ok, TKG it is.
TinkerGnome
I like TKG better, too wink.gif

Anyway, I haven't been able to access DSF all day (timestamps seem to show it as being a global problem for everyone), but now I can. What I got, as far as I can see:

Belfast -- RoUS -- Mage
Evans -- FXcalibur -- Street Sam/Medic
Hellcow -- Number 6 -- Face
Raven -- Shadow -- Gunbunny
Raven -- JaronK -- Weapons Expert
Skeeter -- Tisoz -- Magician Adept
Swift Eagle -- Panzergiest -- Physical Adept
Thor -- Beast of Revolutions -- Rigger
Sedryk -- Chance359 -- Street Sam
Brand -- Crechebaby -- Demolitions expert

If my public school education doesn't fail me, that's 10 people. Considering my familiarity with how these games work, I'd say that I'm going to go ahead and approve everyone on the list to submit a character. Deadline for characters is still Tuesday. I'd expect almost everyone to make the deadline, but someone might bow out, which is also fine.

The payoff for the run is pretty high, so even going 10 ways it'll be worth doing.
Shadow
TKG, are there any changes the need to be made to Raven, or is she good to go?
A Rodent of Unusual Size
On a side note, I just thought I'd let you know that while working on my character, I decided "Guinness" would be a cooler street name (at least compared to "Belfast"), so I'm going to be changing it to that. I'll include it in my next draft of the sheet when I send him your way. Just letting you know now so you won't be too confused. biggrin.gif

Edit: Bah, with both Jaron and my wife smacking me upside the head for changing the name, I'll stick with Belfast. 'Sides, now that I think about it, "Bel" is kind of a cool shorter nickname, too. "Guinn" just sounds sorta odd. smile.gif (Hooray for fickleness.)
JaronK
I dunno, I thought Belfast was a pretty nice name.

TKG, do any changes need to be made to my Raven, or is he good to go?

JaronK
TinkerGnome
Alright, work time. Apparent completion is rated from 1 to 3. 1 means I've got a concept, 2 means a concept and partial character, 3 means a nearly-complete sheet. Nothing is final until Tuesday morning, of course.

Belfast -- RoUS -- Mage -- 2
Evans -- FXcalibur -- Street Sam/Medic -- 3
Hellcow -- Number 6 -- Face -- 1
Raven -- Shadow -- Gunbunny -- 3
Raven -- JaronK -- Weapons Expert -- 3
Skeeter -- Tisoz -- Magician Adept -- 1
Swift Eagle -- Panzergiest -- Physical Adept -- 3
Thor -- Beast of Revolutions -- Rigger -- 3
Sedryk -- Chance359 -- Street Sam -- 3
Brand -- Crechebaby -- Demolitions expert -- 1

I've read over everything in a strong-skim-type-mode and haven't seen anything I object to. For non-standard stuff, make sure to point it out to me when a situation where it would be useful/important arises. Given the nature of this game, I'm not too worried about background stuff, just mechanical stuff. We're going to be lower on plot and higher on action than most table-top games (if only because I'm sick of PBP games stagnating). There will be plenty of room for RP, of course, it just won't be what's moving the story forward.
A Rodent of Unusual Size
Dude! I knew my hunch to try and get in this game would pay off. <crosses his fingers>
Panzergeist
Sounds good to me. By the way Beast, I made a manned walker drone like you were trying to make; it ended up costing over half a mil. But oh is it worth it.

Luckily my Face has some decent combat ability.

You should have an email with a 90% done character. Please PM or email me if you have any questions.
TinkerGnome
You know, I really thought there was a walker vehicle chasis (not just the drone). Guess I was wrong (I've never thought to use one before, so there you go). If you really want one, use a standard car chasis, but the power plant for a walker type drone. The resultant costs should make it balance out pretty well.
A Rodent of Unusual Size
Technically all you need to do for that is add an Entry Point (free during design phase), Manual Controls (reverse Removed Manual Controls) unless you want to rig it only, and a Seat. Just offering another idea. smile.gif I've converted drones like that in the past and they worked out pretty well.
Shadow
My question is this: WHen exactly are you planning on using said walker? It isn't exactly inconspicuous...
TinkerGnome
Well, walkers strike me as useful in a small number of industrial applications (where having "wading bird" type feet would make some tasks easier) and as an rich person's ATV. Really, you couldn't use one in a city at all.
Panzergeist
Guys, the walker isn't for this game. I'm a physad in this game. The walker is for another game in which I'm a rigger. And Rodent is right, you just take a drone chassis and add a seat and entry point. As a drone, it already comes with rigger adaptation and remote control.

If you guys are really that interested, the drone cost exactly 510,450 nuyen. It has 8 vehicle armor and 10 personal armor, for a total damage power reduction of 26 points. love.gif It has one mechanical arm, with 16 strength. It is armed with a light machine gun, grenade launcher, and a silenced preator, for when I need to use gel rounds. It also has photovoltaic paint, an oil slick sprayer, and smoke discharger. Those are useful, because it is capable of going at a speed of 104, which is equal to about 70 miles per hours, so I could run it on the highway if it didn't have a visible turret. It does feature a morphing liscense plate, transponder library, and markings identifying it as the property of a non-existent security corporation, but even so, running it on a city street or highway is a desperation move.
TinkerGnome
Okay, we're coming down to the wire. I don't think I have complete characters for Brand or Skeeter yet. I'm going to make the first post tomorrow sometime and I'm not promising a time since I probably have to do real work at work tomorrow. wink.gif

Anyway, because of the (US) holiday and the fact that I personally feel drained from it, I'm invoking a grace period until Wed. morning. I have to have something approaching a character by then. I will allow character modifications up until the actual start of the meet, which will likely be Friday or early next week (yeah, shorter than most... I want to get moving). By the time your character arrives at the meet, I would really, really like to have the final final character sheet in my possession.

If you're waiting on me for anything, you're going to want to reask it, because I'm not aware of it wink.gif

W00t! Looks like I won't be up till 4am after all! Getting some sleep....
TinkerGnome
Okay, we're ready to start.
