Markus dropped one thug, and wounded another. Than George finished off the one wounded thug, and dropped the other (Caitlin the awakened one is now dead) Only one thug survives. The thug has a fearful look on his face, and sprays the elevator with automatic weapon fire.
Ooc: Suppressive Fire w/ 1 rounds per meter for a 2 meter by 3 meter area. 6 rounds expended. Everyone is in the scope of the fire.
Please roll dodge.
Tashio
May 8 2006, 06:11 PM
Hrmm, goes off to find the damn rules on suppresive fire.
Okay so, basicaly 1 bullet per meter which means 1 success needed to dodge against TN4.
Spend 4 Combat Pool.
Dodge: 3 5 7 10
Ooh he is soo going down
Mister Juan
May 8 2006, 06:21 PM
If George chooses to actually not dodge and just take the full head on force... how much damage would that be? I'm thinking he might not dodge, so to not expose Nadia and Hobbes who are behind him.
Tashio
May 8 2006, 06:29 PM
Actualy it should be 3m wide spread, so 2 bullets per meter.
If you get hit, attacker rolls normal attack roll at +2 tn, no combat pool, and no modifier for burst/fa so basicaly you get hit by 1 bullet.
Mister Juan
May 8 2006, 06:47 PM
So George would have to soak up something like...... 6M?
Mister Juan
May 8 2006, 06:48 PM
If George not dodging does prevent Hobbes, and Nadia, from getting hit, then consider George doesn't.
Tashio
May 8 2006, 06:50 PM
6/7M + success stages, so likely M, maybe S, and if you really unlucky D, but your armor assuming Jacket means your TN is like 2, so body + combat vs TN 2 staging down D needs 8 successes.
George not dodging would basicaly mean they can't really dodge because of limited movement but they'll get probably partial cover bonus against TN to hit.
Mister Juan
May 8 2006, 07:07 PM
George actually has something like 7 points of balistic armor, and rolls like 9 dices for soaking damage
It's just that I don't think Hobbes has a lot of combat pool and he could very well get capped by this.
Tashio
May 8 2006, 07:45 PM
Well as I said depends on how much cover Sic decides George is worth
Probably Partial.
Sicarius
May 9 2006, 12:05 PM
well, Hobbes is behind Nadia AND George, and is also prone. I would argue he's got pretty full cover. But Nadia would have partial cover if George were to simply soak it.

Caitlin will use 6 dice of her Combat Pool to dodge, saving 2 to help soak if I really flub the roll:
11, 08, 05, 05, 04, 02.
Since re-allocating spell defense is a free action and the awakened goon is down, she will switch to half of her Spell Pool to aid casting, and half to help soak Drain. She will cast stunbolt at the remaining goon at 6S.
Spellcasting (Sorcery: 6 plus 3 Spell Pool):
11, 09, 07, 05, 05, 04, 04, 04, 01.
Drain (2S resisted with Willpower: 6 plus 3 Spell Pool):
05, 04, 04, 04, 04, 02, 02, 01, 01 (fully resisted Drain).
Immediately afterwards, she will re-allocate her dice for spell defense again, in case there is another wave of attackers.

Sorry, do I need to make any rolls? Or is Nadia ok as long as George doesn't move?
Sicarius
May 11 2006, 11:13 AM
Nadia and Hobbes do not have to Roll. I believe Markus is kneeling and so exposed. Caitlin as already rolled and successfuly dodged. And I have to roll an attack against George, so he can soak it up, like we all know he will.
Thug #3 (Target # 6 4+2 for suppressive fire, SMG Skill 5, Plus 3 combat pool)
Rolls: 17 8 5 4 3 3 2 1 (2 successes)
George is Soaking 6S (although given your armor you're looking for 2s)

Rolled ages ago for Markus, repost.
Spend 4 Combat Pool.
Dodge: 3 5 7 10
Should be successful dodge.
Not that it will change anything but you can't use combat pool on Sup Fire hit rolls.

thank you Tashio. I'm retarded. But that's what i get for posting at work
Thug (resisting Stunbolt)
4,3,1 (zero successes against 8 successes) Unless I'm wrong, Goon is unconcious and takes a Serious wound.
Mister Juan
May 11 2006, 10:18 PM
So we downed all of them in basically 3 or 4 seconds, with 3 of them not even shooting and only George got hit (and his armor stopped the bullets dead on)
We = Rule

May 12 2006, 10:22 AM
gah... let me recalculate.
You said it was at D+2. Wouldn't it have gone from D (Stun) to Medium (physical)? than he had four successes, so it would have gone back down to Deadly Stun?
Mister Juan

As it was suggested, George will head for the closest stairs. He'll approach with caution, his Savalette Guardian will be out, but he'll be holding it along his leg, to keep it concealed. Once he's fairly sure the way is clear, he'll start going up, keeping a good distance between himself and the rest of the group.

We are getting very near to the end of this adventure so please stick with me guys.
I also wanted to let you guys know, in case you didn't already, that I had envisioned this as the first in a series of adventures. I've already began preparations for Initial Shadow Offering II. I hope that you guys will stick with me, but if you aren't interested in continuing please let me know, so I can advertise for players.

I'm back, running on a really dodgy cell phone link due to reception issues. Work is being slow in getting my lab setup and my access from the admin block. Hopefully all will be running smoothly soon but I will be around and active in the next few days. I'll be sticking around though if you carry on with the series.
Hey wada ya know it will also probably be the first game on DS I've ever completed.

Initiative: 11. Holding action, except free action to free up dice from spell defense. If Hobbes is hit, her priority will be first aid/magical healing on him. Otherwise, she will stunbolt the attacker. She has seen the two sammies in action, and knows how fast they are, so she does not expect a lone attacker to last past a round against the two of them.

Thompson: Dodging: Combat Pool 7:
Rolls: 8 5 5 3 2 2 1 (3 successes)
Soak: 5 5 3 2 2 (2 successes)
Damage: 10D+4 to 10D+3, 10D+3 to 10D+2.
Thompson is knocked unconcious, and takes two light wounds. As he falls, the small object in his left hand bounces free, and turns out to be a grenade, it bounces back behind where the Thompson falls about 5 meters. (this would put it about 15 meters away from Hobbes, and between 13 and 17 meters from the lot of you. at -1 power per meter on a 10S the blast is not likely to do any damage to anyone. whether your character would be aware of that or not, I leave up to you as you resolve actions.
Thompson:
no Combat Pool available (and unconcious anyway)
Soak: 5 5 4 4 1 (4 successes)
5S to 5M, 5M to 5L.
Thompson takes an additional light wound.

Good work on a completed Run guys. Before we kick off the next round, I want to give everyone a chance to roleplay some down time. You can buy new equipment, get information from your contacts, initate on a planar quest , whatever you want to get done. when everyone's accomplished what they want, we'll start the second round.
Cool?
OH. and 3 karma points for everyone for that last segment.
and if everyone could tell me what their present Karma totals are i'd appreciate it.

Yeah, you missed one. You were there when we got 4 Karma, too, so you should have 7.
Caitlin has 9 (10 minus the tenth point to the Karma Pool).
Caitlin and Nadia also have to settle up with George on the commlinks.
*EDIT* The commlinks cost George 2,000 each - Caitlin was expecting to pay 1,000 but won't make a fuss about paying 2,000 - that's still not a bad price. The base pay for the job was 4,500, so with an additional 1,000 we will each get 5,500.

You guys are lucky I'm so nice. I did a search for the word Karma throughout the thread, and found alot more than what you guys are counting.
Markus gets 7
Everyone else has 10.
