Apparently, you can be a Hermetic Magician and have a Rat spirit guide aka totem

You can be an ADEPT and have the Rat Mentor Spirit.
All Awakened characters can now have Mentor Spirits.

I wish.
I really, really do. I thought so at first too.

I thought that'd been errata'd

Something has to be errataed. Page 79 says "magicican or mystic adept", page 192 says "any awakened character".

"....with the with the Mentor Spirit quality".
That still precludes Adepts, though it's a dumbass way to say it (so maybe the Quality text is a mistake). Getting my hopes up and all.

Ya, that's a pretty small isolated change. Plus it's like some of the totems were built to support Adepts by including skill bonuses, though some don't really provide any bonus at all to an Adept with the current power selection.
