Yo all. GM, will this style work for dice rolls?

looks lovely, i'm assuming they'll be in order like that too?
Jaid
Dec 23 2005, 11:15 PM
just curious, do we have to wait to find out what's keeping us from running away, or is that something we've already had explained?
Aku
Dec 24 2005, 12:51 AM
"story" ? lol
Jaid
Dec 24 2005, 01:30 AM
i'll clarify:
right now, i understand that if we don't agree to do the run, the Azzies *will* brutally murder us. i get that.
however, let's say they turn us loose to do the run. what's keeping us from just waving goodbye and walking off, back into the shadows we came from as soon as they aren't looking?
Aku
Dec 24 2005, 02:05 AM
Well, ya know all that equipment you have to requisition for?
Good luck not having them looking....
brohopcp
Dec 25 2005, 05:29 AM
Jaid, I would guess they'll watch us a couple different ways during the run, maybe even send an NPC azzy along with us. Between that and tracking devices in the equipment and maybe implanted, it'll make it hard to skip out during a run. Though I doubt we have had any of this stuff explained by this point in the game.
Jaid
Dec 25 2005, 04:32 PM
that's what i was wondering... i was quite sure they weren't just gonna give us a few grand in gear, drop us off near the target, and then just hope that we come back...
i was just wondering if we know yet what measures are implemented to make us come back. you know, to give us motivation to actually come back (although i'm sure they won't tell us everything, of course).
Aku
Dec 26 2005, 03:46 PM
don't worry jaid, for a while atleast, you wont be going anywhere that you can escape, easily..
what, you thought i was going to keep you in seattle?
notice... you don't technically know where you're at... since i left it a nice vague "captured during your last mission"..

not a problem, this start up was sort of hastey in the first place, and i wasnt keeping everyone to posting at this moment anyways, i'm doing it very relaxed right now.
Azentech Dragoon= Rip off Ares Dragon, come on now, ya expected Aztech to support the enemies?

Dramatis Personae
Seņor, a "non-descript corporate male in a dark black suit, and equally dark glasses" -quote, aku
And the guard, "accompinied by a large, bloodied troll, with a pair of horns that each branch off into a pair of spikes each, and a rifle spattered with blood." -quote, aku
And a boss, "The new man sits in a pleather chair, bald headed with his back turned, watching a trideo display of some business network show. As the door opens and closes, he turns toward you, blue eyes shimmering in the over head light." -quote, aku
Secretary, the person who works on the same floor we live and who we submit requisistions.
My teamates are Wheezer and Esper, I am Calvin.
Actually, there is another elevator that actually goes to...important places... that has a secretary and guards at. The elevator you came up in only goes to and from the basement. <GM backpedaling>
However, you will likely have a lot of interaction with the un-named Senor (the non descript guy)
And you are correct for the Boss, for now atleast. You might get a new boss... you might be asked to off this boss, who knows...

Hoping to get the requisition lists by the end of the week and since it seems everyone is just going to Follow Se?ńor around the hallways for now since no one else sid anything.

Jan 10 2006, 01:25 PM
Okay. I wasn't sure what was coming next, a general post from you, or our lists or what. I will draw up an equipment list.
Shall we just yack about team equipment in OOC and than post IC rather than fill the IC section with gibberish about MicroTranscievers?

Jan 10 2006, 01:38 PM
My apologies, I was under the mistaken impression that other things would happen and wasn't sure what was going on
(my bad). Anyway, thanks for the post.
Requisition List to GM
[ Spoiler ]
Viper Slivergun with 3 magazines (flechette)
Colt Manhunter with 3 magazines (gel rounds)
2 regular holsters
Survival Knife
Access to Force 6 conjuring library
Force 4 conjuring components
Camo Full Suit (woods) with scent masking (olfactory camo)
Survival Kit and Knife
Clothing?
Question? What form of communications equipment will we be given?
Aku
Jan 10 2006, 05:13 PM
Not a problem, i just wasnt sure if anyone was going to post a "I stand up and follow" message or not, i just like making sure i have everyone on the same page.
Oh, and one other difference from the show rooms is theres a computer in every room, with a chip burner to fill the requisition disks on. Matriz access is limited, however (to the story, as determined by the GM...oh, thats me, aint it?
)
Aku
Jan 10 2006, 08:43 PM
Wheeze What sort of obvious and illegal item are you looking for? Any blantent weaponry wont be found here.
As for amount of money, it's sort of like a revolving account, any charges just get tallied, along with deposits.
Dont worry, i wont charge overdraft fees
Jaid
Jan 11 2006, 12:09 AM
hmmm... lessee... requisitions...
[ Spoiler ]
<Azzie knockoff of Ares Predator>, with silencer and lasersight
3 clips normal ammo
1 clip APDS ammo
1 clip gel ammo
Armor Vest with plates (4/3)
Low-Light binoculars
Respirator with pressure regulator
Medkit (ooc: rating as high as i can get)
knowsoft/datasoft: paranormal animals and/or parazoology
some kind of boat (even if limited to inflatable rubber raft) in the event that no one else requests one.
net or grappling hook.
(last two are so that if the 'horse' is killed in the water, it can be hauled into the boat).
for the record, i don't really care if you read my spoiler, so if Aku doesn't care, go right ahead. though you should probably ask him
Aku
Jan 11 2006, 01:11 AM
No, i dont care, really, i figure you will probably try to get some time in the conference room and discuss everything anyways.
I'm debating if i want to actually inform you of what you do or don't get. I think it would be kind of interesting to see some reactions to open a baggie of goodies only to be "missing" something...
Maybe in later missions, so far i dont think anything will be rejected.
Sicarius
Jan 11 2006, 01:32 AM
She's looking for something that might piss the Azzies off. A cell phone or phone card might do the trick. Sharp Knives might do it too, things which look like they would explode. I don't necessarily know what's available, but something that would allow communication with the outside world, or which could cause significant physical damage.
Aku
Jan 11 2006, 01:48 AM
Hmmm, knives are out (no one, on this floor, has a kitchen) How about a set of items, normally mundane, but combined could be explosive?
And you're doing this to see just how reactive security will be?
Jaid
Jan 11 2006, 03:12 AM
bleach and ammonia when combined can form a mild version of nerve gas (presumably, if concentrated properly, could be effective). or so i am told... one of my friends from a while back told me this. his mother or grandmother (can't remember exactly which) combined the two in a bathtub (trying to make the ultimate cleaner... lol) and was leaning over a bathtub half full of the stuff and passed out as a result. considering the quantities involved, i doubt it's terribly strong overall.
of course, i have no idea how one would go about concentrating it, or *if* it could be concentrated, or anything like that. or even if either of those chemicals are still common in this campaign (when are we, anyways?)
in any event, i suppose you could also look for a screwdriver or something like that.
if they have glass bottles, those could be converted to improvised knives (not very good ones of course) but probably wouldn't draw attention.
however, interesting theory: some snacks are designed that you snap something on them (or whatever) and they heat up. that kind of thing presumably has some interesting chemicals in it.
however, i would anticipate this is not a normal stuffer shack. in all probability, most of the stuff in it has been checked over, and what made it past the initial check has probably since been used in an attempt to escape. which probably had the unfortunate result that someone had to clean up the hallways.

Everything looks good for now. Calvin will hang out in his room until the meeting room opens up for them. Shall we just set a time up for the next day, is that fine with everyone?
What kind of things (wards, spirits, elementals, roving security mages, etc...) does Calvin see when he flicks on astral vision and projects?

and right Aku, She expects to get caught doing it. She just wants to see what the reaction is, and how fast it comes.
Aku
Jan 11 2006, 01:27 PM
sure you can get back to me, or if you know the name of it, and what book it's in, i can see if i can find it too
Sicarius
Jan 11 2006, 01:37 PM
its in cannon companion. One of the cloaks which offers 50% concealability, and i think it talks about it being good insulation from the elements (rain etc) then there a vest from the actioneer line (Same book) in a camo pattern, that i was looking to combine with it.
Aku
Jan 11 2006, 02:06 PM
Well, i looked through it, but unfortunately theres a couple of different ones that sort of fit what you're looking for, particularly, the London Fog line (of which there are 5 different series), or possibly the Greatcoat or Ulysses lines by Mortimer.
The vest, i beleive, is the Sleeping Tiger vest, from Vason island, with a .5/1, however, if not combined with something else in the line, that rounds down to a 0/1.
Sicarius
Jan 11 2006, 03:27 PM
i'll pick out exactly what i mean later today.
Sicarius
Jan 11 2006, 06:28 PM
Okay. Exactly what I meant didn't exist. I was apparently combining two entries in my mind into a uber-entry which didn't exist.
So Let's go with Armored Vest with Plates (4/3) for starters.
Aku
Jan 11 2006, 06:33 PM
Well, that would explain my confusion, now wouldn't it.... now to see about getting you to buy some naughty stuff....

QUOTE (Aku @ jan 10) |
Boxed in between the elevators is a desk, with a thick black wall running up to the ceiling on each side of the desk, and the front, save for a small window, where you see a chubby eleven woman sitting at the desk, tapping away at a keyboard. |
Yes, yes she is a chubby elf at that, heh. Hows that for breaking the mold?!

Sounds great... I'll have to send Aztechnology a
thank-you card for worrying about our safety
anything needed by me to move things along IC? or is everyone just thinking of plans and not discussing them with each other?
PS. if you really want to do it behind the scenes, go ahead and just let me know when you've got your plan

sorry i've been so quiet. we lost a co-worker. (Calling your boss a "F**KER" is not recommended for career longevity.) anyway, i'm doing his work now too, so naturally, busy.
i'm sorry, trying to get time when i can.
haha not a problem
I actually heard about that happening once when i was working for my dad. A guy from a temp agency was apparently working as a map rack, when the owner (which apparently he didnt know) came by and asked why he was working so hard, when, said temp worker Blew up with a series of explecitives, and apparently the phrase "do you know who the F i am?"
The owner supposedly responded with something like "No, and obviously you dont know who i am. Heres a hint. Go home and don't come back."

Feb 8 2006, 05:43 AM
So I guess the plans are pretty set for now. We'll also need to adjust things once we have on-site info. Is anyone objectionable to skipping forward a couple days?
wow, those are pretty loose plans, but i have no problem with it (i was expecting more conversation thats all)
If i don't hear anything else by tomarrow i'll post it up.

One question.
1) Did I get a chance to use the conjuring library and summon from the materials requested before we left?
Aku
Feb 14 2006, 12:04 PM
sorry, yes, i ment to give you time to do that. Consider the materials delivered pre-emptively (before everything else)so that should give you 12 hours or so before the private meeting to do whatever.

Calvin, Conjuring
[ Spoiler ]
Roll of 5d6 conjuring skill vs. a tn (4) water elemental.
3,2,2,1,1 (all failures)
Drain, 6d6 charisma vs. tn (4) moderate stun
5,4,4,2,1,1 (3 successes, light stun, light headache, will fade quickly)
All in all, no elemental on call, materials were used up and with aztechnology pissed that I wasted their time and money.
