NOTE:
This PbP game is for members of the Shadownessence community. Shadownessence is normally a WoD forum; however, some of its members are fond of SR so we are starting up a game here.
========================================================

ALright, I figured we should start doing the actual work figuring out whats going on, since I noticed many people have started to lay claim to roles in the runner group (admititly I did ask what people were INTERESTED in running, "interested" being the key word)

Considering that we don't know who are GM is yet (wish that mystery voter would speak up!), I think anything we hash out should be temporairy.

Here are roles I think are needed in a SR Team. the "/" is used in place of "or" and a (-) means "bad" choice, and a (+) means "great" choice

Hacker/2 specialist Technomancers(+)/generalist technomancer(-)/ hacking Adept
rigger/Technomancer Rigger (+)
Hermetic/Shaman
gunbunny
Face
Sammie
gun/blade/fist adept
Other ass kicker (sammie, gun bunny, adept etc)
fixer

Havening never played shadowrun that list is based entirely on theory, and it is a large number of people. Please feel free to counterpurpose whats needed, in fact, I strongly encourage it.

What I purpose we do right now, untill our GM steps up, if bounce character ideas off each other, and reach a consensous as to who plays what by means other then a first-come-first-serve.

That said I will post bellow a bunch of my character ideas, in no paticular order

1) Gun Adept (mostly)
I have two characters, inspired by the movie "THe Matrix." This is the first one of said two. He honestly beleives that we are all trapped in a ultraviolet node. THe anceint Dee Vee Dee" of "The Matrix" is a message inserted by hackers to try to inspire people to escape. All his Adept powers he attributes to weakening of the Ultraviolet node's hold on him. His Adept abilities would parallel those demonstraighted by Freed Minds in the movie.

2) Combat Technomancer
Lets get the other "The Matrix" character out of the way. This technomancer is mearely overly fond of the movie "The Matrix" and considers all non-technomancers in the matrix to be the same as Plugged In humans, while Technomancers are the freed Minds. He specializes in Cybercombat, working with another hacker (who he insists in calling "Operator" to infiltrate any place in the wireless web and do what needs to be done. His "Armour" complex form has him doing stop like doding bullits, "attack" stuff like the moves in the Lobby Scene. Operator would have to be another player Technomancer, specilizing in hacking.

3)Austistic Savent Technomancer
Basically he would be incredable in the matrix, truelyl amazing, yet not really understand how to interact outside of it. I mean, he would know how to run, how to breathe, know when his life is threatened etc, and understand speech, but he wouldn't unstand how to respond to it, there is a block there in his brain. But he understands and manipulate the matrix in ways normal people cannot understand and can to some extent express himself there. Although not truely a rigger TM, he would make use of Drones.

4) Gepetto Technomancer
Under the cover of a toymaker on the frindge of the city, this Technomancer is a master of making Drones, and compiles Machines sprities to pilot them. With his Drones he is highly versitile, everything from the covert ops and reconissance to flat out frag fests and driving the escape vehicle.

5)Blade Adept
This ancient man has spent half a century searching for the answer to the Awakening, but not in academic halls or mage labs, but in amoung the very heart of the people and the earth. His travels have changed him. Never activly seeking violence or skill with blades it itstead grew into him over decades. Now his sudden bursts of speed or sword prowess are second nature, yet a side of him he rarely likes to use, usually only in the most dire of circumstances. A gentle man and scholarly, and if you did not know he was deadly you would never guess it.

6) Fixer/face
A man in his mid 50s, this retired soldier served in every major conflict since he was eigteen (back in 2033). He lost an arm and suffered chest damage in the Night of Rage; he was one of the few humans who risked his life to help the orks and troll. When the Renraku Archology shut down he was amoung the men to go in, and recived a feild commission for his work, then served as a Zoney untill the crash of 64 erased his SIN. Well connected with seemingly everyone, he strikes those he meets as profoundly authentic. He has a gentle smile and loves to tell tall tales, and RARELY mentions his time in the army. Despire his peaceful ways he is a crack shot with a pistol, However it is virtually always loaded with gel rounds, and virtually never shoots to kill. In fact, amoung smugglers the turf he guarded as a Zoney became known as the "Jelly Zone," because of his non'leathal pratises.

Thats all for know folks, I look forwads to seeing what everyone elses Ideas are.

Justin Cognito
All right, here are my character ideas:

1) Former corporate runner ork combat mage.

He knows how to run, but when it comes to the shadows, he's a practical newbie. He's done jobs as a corporate servant for Shiawase until very recently; when asked about it, he gets stern and avoids the subject. Though he sticks to his guns most of the time, sometimes he waivers; he's worried about what will happen to his husband if he gets gunned down on a run. Still, he keeps to the streets, and always watches his teammate's backs.

2) Hyperactive teen girl rigger.

She's kind of like Rikku from Final Fantasy X- your cute little sister who occasionally does horrible, horrible things. She's got some skills at hacking, but where she shines is her drone work. She does all the alterations herself, and she's very committed to her work. Her sweet attitude works at unlocking doors-- and if that doesn't work, she can deliver a mean kick to the nuts.
