While Rigger 3 is a fine book in its own right, there seem to be gaps in the vehicle lists, particularly when it comes to some of the Milspec stuff, or stuff from far parts of the world (You'll find I have a penchant for Russian stuff) So as a resource to other players and GMs I was going to start to put up the stats for various vehicles that one might insert into your games when just another Stallion clone won't cut it. All of the vehicles are created with the R3 rules but it is entirely possible that there are some flaws. Add your own to the list if you want, and feel free to use the ones presented.

Typical of many tactical transport aircraft, the 1022 combines the ability to operate from short unimproved airstrips with capacity to lift anything, short of depleted uranium ingots, that will fit into its cargo bay. Favored by smaller merc units and some smaller corps, particularly those who operate in Africa and the Mid-east. Its big selling point of course is its relatively reasonable price. The 1022 can also be easily refitted as a troop carrier or flying ambulance, and many operators upgrade its sensor package for night operations.

Mil Mi-60 "Hydra"
As fond of the flying tank idea as they are of vodka, the Mi-60 is an evolutionary design tracing its way back to the old "Hip" and "Hind" models. Not truly an attack helo, the "Hydra" is designed as an assault helicopter, able to carry a small squad of troops or supplies into a hot LZ. While its titanium armor is not to be ignored, the Mi-60's best defence is a good offence. With multiple hardpoints for guns and rockets, it is to be feared on the battlefield. Critisized for such a low fuel load for its role, the "A" model packs an external tank on each of its plumbed hardpoints on its stub wings. Variants "B" through "E" represent various specialty variants such as a dual control trainer and an NBC recon ship. The "F" is the dedicated assault model packing either multi-rocket launchers, HMGs or autocannon on its two hardpoints and a plethora of ATGMs on its missle mounts.

Solidifying its Russian relations Yamatetsu has funded production a breed that has largely dissappeared since the old USSR. The "Manatee" is a behemoth of an amphibian designed to patrol large areas of Russian coastline (and probably protect Yamatetsu undersea interests) In its primary configuration the 512 carries 4 torpedoes or similar payload in an internal bay. As a throwback to the old breed the 512 actually has a tail turret.

Saeder-Krupp "Thinktank"

Every shadowrunner's worst nightmare. The S-K MV558, aka "thinktank" Is optimized for urban combat. Mounting the firepower of twin Rheinmetal 20mm smoothbore three barreled cannon, the MV558 has more than enough ability to engage most combatants in typical urban warfare. With excellent mobility provided by its six legged chassis, articulation of the legs enables the pilot to elevate or depress the firing line +/- 45 degrees. The chassis is a marvel itself, holding just enough space for a single pilot within its heavily armored hull. The six legs provide it with excellent manuverability to traverse typical urban rubble, and fit into tight spaces beyond the ability of most conventional armored vehicles, and continue to function without the use of two of its six legs. Although the tank has the ability to act autonomously as a drone, it is usually piloted for security reasons freeing it from the tether of a remote deck. While its twin HMGs are more than enough to deal with most opponents, the MV558 can also electrify its hull to deal with any attempts at close assault. The only disadvantage to such a technological monster of course is its price. Not many can afford to deploy the MV558 in significant number. Rumor has it that a platoon of three guards one of S-K's delta clinics.

GMC M230 6x6

This is the vehicle that has been around in some incarnation serving militaries around the world. With dozens of variants for as many roles, they are the logistics backbone of both national and corp militaries. The M230 improves on the basic heavy truck design with an efficient diesel powerplant giving it excellent power for whatever application the vehicle might be used for. Its excellent off road suspension enable it to handle the worst terrain. Most M230s also come with a five ton winch as standard equipment. Despite being a "mil spec" vehicle, surplus units are readily available on the civillian market, and units with wear and tear go for significantly less than the listed price.

Northrup Grumman A/V-40 Shrike

The fastest T-bird in production, the Shrike is also one of the ugliest things that flies. With primary role as a fast interdictor the Shrike also excells in the role of SEAD missions and counter battery strike capabilities, armed primarily with either ARMs or a load of Outlaw missles. Less advertised is the Shrike's role as a headhunter. With the capacity to transport eight fully equipped troopers into a hot LZ, hence the T-bird's Odd appearance as effort has been made to direct jetblast away from the exits. Troopers may either egress by the Shrike's high speed rappel or directly onto the ground as per the tactical requires. To aid in this, the Shrike employs the latest Rolls Royce 580t Vulcan High bypass Turbofan. Maximum use of smart materials enable the shrike excellent manuverability for its size and cuts down on its radar cross section.

Employed by both UCAS and the CAS in some of their air-cav brigades, the Shrike's high price tag have limited its sales abroad, although both IWS and Celebrian have inquired about aquiring limited licenced production.

Kaman MiniSprite

The MiniSprite is representative of the bottom end market of drones for the avid r/c enthusiast. With its Rotax330, the Sprite is about the size of and sounds like a lawn mower. Its biggest selling point of course is its price and miserly fuel consumption. Most r/c riggers will have actually have learned to fly a helo with one of these units, and they actually see service as trainers in some poorer militaries. While in no way meant to stand up to combat, the sprite is very durable, made to stand up to rookie landings. None the less, a Sprite is usually how some budding riggers get their first taste of dumpshock.

Sikorsky-Bell 646 Light Utility Helicopter
The winning entrant to the UCAS Army competition for a new Light Utility Helicopter in 2032 to replace the aging modified UH-1 LUHs, this is the main utility helo of the UCAS Army and is used by several other national, corporate and mercenary armies world wide. It's primary missions include aerial transport of staff and liaison elements, air messenger service, air movement of supplies, and maintenance support. It is not meant for operations in hot zones and therefore the standard variants do not carry any protection against combat threats.

The UH-4 was commonly modified to be better suited for operations in a combat theater, however, and soon Sikorsky-Bell begun marketing the variants B and C, which have progressively greater defensive and offensive capabilities.

The 646 has been successfully marketed for civilian use as well, thanks to the comparable price but superior safety and greater lift capability it offers compared to other helicopters of it's class.

Ares M1452 Universal Carrier
This is the direct descendant of the United Defense M1108 Universal Carrier, which was not much more than a modified M113A3. The main advances are in the operational range of the vehicle and in the much smaller sensor signature in addition to the general development of electronic devices.

The basic design of the M1452 is easily adaptable to a great variety of roles. Not only can it transport any type of cargo under 3.6 x 3 x 2 meters (11' 10" x 9' 10" x 6' 7") in size and 8,000kg (17,600lbs) in weight internally, but it's top structure can dismantled in field conditions so that it can carry just about anything under 5 x 4 x 4 meters (16' x 13' x 13') in size on a flat top.

Several modifications of the basic design exist, including an APC and an Armored Medical Treatment Vehicle as well as AAA, SAM, SPLL, C^3, HAZMAT, FSTV and SPMrt versions, each customizable to the very needs of the customer.

M1453 APC
The dedicated Armored Personnel Carrier of the UC family, the M1453 has extra heavy armor, more accurate sensors, seating for 22 men in the cargo area and 4 pintle mounts in the cargo area for the infantry being carried.

M1455 AMTV
A cross between SOTA ambulance and an APC, the M1455 allows treatment of casualties in the combat zone under the protection of armor. Within the large medical clinic that has basically been slapped on top of the M1452, up to 4 medics or doctors can work freely on a patient while another patient can be worked on in the Valkyrie module by a rigging doctor.

To make room for the medical gear and working space, the M1455 has been stripped of some sensors, one of the two fuel tanks and the power amplifiers of the M1452. It has extra armor to protect it in the combat zone, because it has to move carefully not to cause extra harm to the patients. Still, the operational weight of the M1455 is so much smaller than that of the M1452 that it's fuel economy has significantly improved, countering the effect of the smaller fuel load to a degree.

Ares Interim Coastal Patrol Craft
Designed as a replacement for older generation coastal patrol crafts, the Ares ICPC is the first in a series of small, stealthy craft for surface operations where larger vessels are less than optimal. The first and foremost advantage of the ICPC over patrol ships is the cost: no other surface vessel in the same price class is any match for the ICPC.

The sleek, extremely angled hull of the ICPC is propelled through the waves at 96km/h, or up to 120km/h with the foils extended, by the silent KaMeWa K95S waterjets. Advanced materials make the craft nearly invisible to radar as well as sonars, and its visual signature is very small - with the foils retracted the ICPC only extends 1.2 meters (4') above the waves at full steam.

While the main market of the ICPC is for Navies and Coast Guards, it is also highly coveted by smugglers.

Special Applications ICPC
This specialized variant of the ICPC is meant for waterborne infiltration in special operations. It has external cargo mounts, which is generally used for carrying a rigid hull inflatable boat (RHIB), 4 canoes, an advanced swimmer delivery vehicle (a sea sled), or other operational gear, as well as a rear ramp for dropping the carried vehicles or divers. It can carry 16 personnel in comfort for long periods of time, and has more advanced electronic countermeasures.

To make room for all this, it has lighter armor protection, less sophisticated sensors, smaller fuel cells and no ring mounts.

Saeder-Krupp Cyclone GR9 Interdictor/Strike
The Cyclone GR9 IDS is the European answer to the Aztechnology Halcón. Even more so than the Halcón, the GR9 is a dedicated ground attack fighter, it's primary mission being Close Air Support as well as well as strike missions, including Offensive Counter Air and Suppression of Enemy Air Defense strikes. It is less than optimal for Search And Destroy because of its less advanced EW package compared to other AG fighters. Whenever the GR9 is expected to run into enemy aircraft, it should be escorted by dedicated air-to-air fighters.

While more limited than other aircraft of its class, it is far more capable in its given role. The maximum payload of the GR9, 8,100kg, is far superior to those of comparable aircraft like the Halcón (2,100kg) or B-D-M EFAs (1,200kg), and unlike them the GR9 also has stand-off attack capability and can carry the JP466 anti-airfield weapon. In addition, its radius of action without external fuel is over 3 times as large as that of the Halcón. And if that wasn't enough, it is nearly 2 million nuyen cheaper, too.

Saeder-Krupp Transportpanzer Anshelm
Originally designed as a light transport of an infantry squad for S-K's own security HRTs, the "Godhelm" quickly gained popularity worldwide. It certainly is a high-end wheeled APC, and it's proliferation has been slowed down by its relatively hefty price tag. On the other hand, national and corporate armies with an eye for quality have embraced the Anshelm because it has capabilities far beyond those of other light APCs in the market.

A dedicated transport vehicle, it does not come with any fixed weapons. However, when the situation calls for it, it can be turned into quite a porcupine by slapping a HMG on its ring mount and LMGs in all 4 cargo-area pintle mounts. If this is not enough, the Anshelm can be modified by adding a turret and heavy weaponry, making it more of a light tank.

Designed primarily as an anti shipping platform, this twin prop turbofan VOTL can carry enough armorment to pose a serious threat to a small navel force. However, it will also excel at an anti-tank or anti-structure role, able to carry up to 2000 kg of rockets or guided missiles as well as a fixed autocannon. While the cost is steep, it has gained a rabid following with the pilots, beliving it to be the safest thing in the sky, which is partly due to the amout of design crash testing.
This design was Bells answer to the T-Birds agility, close quarters flight pattern, and all in a faster, quieter, and lower cost chassis. With drop tanks the Sky Fisher can reach a range of 2000 Km with combat reserves of 200 Km.
A trainer version is in testing and will be ready for market in mid 2064, and a unarmed transport version is in testing.

T-132 MBT

With the proliferation of such highly mobile antitank platforms, few militaries are able to afford to field or are willing to risk heavy armor to battle. Only Russia maintains a large and viable armored force. In the Russian order of battle tank battallions still provide Motorized Rifle regiments with heavy firepower. While the T-132 is most often employed in artillery support more similar to self propelled artillery it maintains excellent direct fire capabilities. The gyrostabilized S2S-5 152mm autoloading cannon provides the ample firepower with a typical combat load of seventy five rounds available, typically a mix of APFSDS, HEAT, Cannister, and Basic HE. Although dated, the tank's thermal sights, shortrange radar and seismic sensors are still very capable for engaging most targets. Backing it up is a MG mounting over the commander's position for close support with AA capabilities. With the same evolutionary layout tracing its way back to the venerable T-34 line, its most notable feature is a Shevetov 12cyl turbo diesel powerplant which enables a max speed of 74kmph over the worst terrain, with provision for snorkeling operations. With a crew of three (Driver,Gunner, Commander), there is an intresting departure from previous thinking, in that all positions are adjustable for larger occupants, perhaps to entice some metas into a tanker's life.

While principally employed by the Red Army, The T-132 is employed in smaller numbers by both the MVD and Interior Army as well as several minor powers in minimal numbers as a show of force. Of note the T-132 has seen extensive action against rebel forces in Yakut. Most frightening, of course, was the appearance of one in the inventory of a black marketeer in the Vladivostock area, and the suspected posession of units by various Vory warlords.

The DASS-59a was designed as a next-generation medium-range attack helicopter, through funding by Saeder-Krupp Prime; the Dragon apparently planned to field test the chopper by forwarding the Kazakhstani government the funding it needed to purchase and maintain a small unit.

Though the DASS-59a has yet to see action in a major conflict, industry experts are optimistic in regards to its capabilities. What sets the DASS-59a apart from its fellows--besides the astronomical pricetag--is that it offers a complete multi-role package. From close support to anti-armor to deep strike to scout, the DASS-59a is equipped to handle any task superbly and with a maximized opportunity for success.

(lodestar, i should note that the Leopard III has already been statted out. if you haven't already picked it up, i'd recommend that you go buy SOTA:2063, as it has a large selection of military-grade vehicles, including a fair number of Russian tanks.)

General Motors Mobile Gun System 3

The main infantry support vehicle in the CAS army, the MGS3 is fielded in some numbers by many other North American armies as well. While not heavily enough armed to engage MBTs, the M424 railgun is quite capable of killing most APCs, LAVs or IFAVs at ranges up to 9 kilometers. It has proved quite effective against helicopters and fixed emplacements as well.

Though it's armament and mobility already make it a great threat on the battlefield, the MGS3 real claim to fame lies in it's extreme survivability. Its heavy layered ceramic armor is complemented by additional ceramic plating and a reactive armor system, protecting it from most threats that would easily knock out other vehicles in its class. The advanced construction methods and radar-absorbent materials utilized in the design, combined with the low-signature electric fuel cell engine and a SOTA electronics suite make the MGS3 all but invisible in the battlefield, while its powerful sensors allow it to fire its own weapons accurately at any target.

GM LOSAT3

A modification of the MGS3 platform for those situations where the M424 railgun is not heavy enough, the LOSAT3 does away with the turret assembly and adds internal missile mounts for 8 Block III Outlaw missiles and launch systems. The LOSAT3 can simultaneously engage and destroy 2 MBTs at ranges up to 10km within seconds of spotting them.

The weight and space requirements of the LOSAT-system reduce the available cargo space significantly, but the modified MGS hull can still carry 8 men, their gear and a quarter of a ton of additional payload.

The TrackerII fulfils the ASW role in many militaries and some corp sec services. Able to operate from even the smallest carrier decks, the ASW tracker usually packs a single MADCAP torpedo internally in its hunter killer role. With its very efficient PW turboprops the tracker also has excellent range and patrol endurance. Using the same airframe but minus the arrestor gear a civillian version has been produced in far fewer numbers, employed usually as a firefighting tanker. In this capacity it sees service in many of the NANs.

The Ares M114A4 Cleric is a highly mobile, state of the art heavy self-propelled howitzer. Shiawase's Tachikoma project is currently in the
testing phase. Though it has performed very well for
the japanese secret service (at home as well as
abroad, especially in San Francisco and the
Phillipines), aiding to defuse various dangerous
situations, and has been successfully employed in a
wide range of tasks from gathering reconnaissance to
providing heavy firepower to patrolling duties, it is
currently under revision for "irregularities" in the
advanced robot pilots' functions, which are said to be
very close in complexity to that of a true AI.

The Tachikoma can be operated by a driver, as a drone,
or can operate by itself. Desgined as a versatile mini
tank for urban theaters, it is equipped with state of
the art sensores, ECM and ECCM, a wireless matrix
uplink, an advanced ruthenium polymer coating for
optical camouflage, and an expert system that is
perhaps the most advanced one to be ever created under
controlled circumstances. Born out of Shiawase's own
(unsuccessful) attempts at creating artificial
intelligence, based on desgins stolen from Renraku
during the mid-2050s, this expert system has proven
incredibly effective, but rumor has it the robots
started to express personality traits, and that
tachikoma units started to act as a collective AI; and
after the Deus desaster, Shiawase recalled them rather
than risk another such catastrophe (and the immense
cost it would bring on them).

However, should the problems be solved, and the
Tachikoma be introduced into the Empire's general
forces, then Japan is decades ahead of any other
nations in terms of automated and integrated combat
forces.

to a back alley surgeon and got myself patched back
together, but I can assure you, I don't want to see
