Hey folks,
The May Missions update has just been posted. The release includes the third adventure in the 4th edition story arc -- SRM02-03 The Grab.
SRM02-04 Thrash the Body Electric has been available to Game Conventions and FanPro Commandos for a couple of weeks now. It'll be available on the web site in June. Here's the blurb on that:
The fewer strings attached to a job, the better. At least that’s what you’ve been telling yourself. Now you’ll find out if having the power in your hands will be everything you expected, or just a shortcut to electrocution.
Our June release for Conventions and Commandos will be SRM02-05 Through a Rose Colored Display Link. (It'll go up on the web in July.) Here's a sneak peak on that adventure:
When a ranking hacker of the Mob becomes prime suspect in a crime he didn't commit (this time), putting heat on the business, you are called in to deliver some family justice against those who framed him.
As I mentioned last month, we've already submitted our GenCon Indy and Origins event listings. GenCon Indy registration is now open.
Origins registration should open up this Tuesday 5/9. We'll be running 12 tables of Missions there. In addition, we'll have a (free) Missions contest running there, which could earn characters some cool in game rewards.
GenCon Indy pre-reg has been selling pretty briskly, when last I checked we'd sold about 2/3 of the available tickets, and a dozen events were completely sold out. If you're planning on attending, I'd strongly encourage you to register as soon as possible. One additonal item to mention for GenCon Indy is that we'll be running the SRM Scramble there. If you're going to the con, I'd strongly encourage all Missions players to give this event a shot.
The Shadowrun Missions Scramble! will be a combination of a traditional Shadowrun tabletop scenario and a LARP-like interactive session. During the first portion of the event, players will be meeting with Mr. Johnson at the Lakeside Amusement Park Casino in the PCC. While there, they’ll be able to gamble, and engage in many of the amusements to be found in the finest gambling facility owned by the Chavez mafia. All the while, characters will have an opportunity to explore the plots and subplots of the criminal organizations at work. Including those of their fellow shadowrunners.
This scenario provides a peak into the background of Denver’s criminal underbelly. Exploring themes from earlier Shadowrun Missions, and granting a peak into upcoming events.
Unique prizes will be awarded to Missions characters. These will include a focus believed to have been part of Dunkelzahn’s horde, a program secured from Mitsuhama’s labs, an appointment with an Evo clinic, and an armament fresh from Ares testing facility. Of course, there’ll also be the Nuyen.
This is a one-time run event, created by a collaboration between the Shadowrun Missions writing team and the FanPro convention team. If you enjoy playing in the campaign, you really won’t want to miss this.
Good gaming, folks!
