They've done a new timeline (set in 2021), intentionally breaking with most canon. It's based in Brazil.

Summed up in one sentence: it looks like CounterStrike + Spells + Vision Enhancements. Certainly not the game I was hoping for.

It seems its Shadowrun in name only....
