What do I propose? Nothing, that's how it is now. No need to actually point out in game play that Trolls have increased their speed by 775% on average in the past 20 years, or that any human who trains a bit can run olympic standards, it'd be bad form.

yeah, this has actually been noted before... it is definitely rather crazy though how fast they can go.

[edit] that being said, with their longer legs, it does kinda make sense that trolls are fast runners... it never made sense to me that they run slower than humans. being less agile and such i can understand, but slower runners just always seemed odd to me... [/edit]

Maybe because a trol is a lot heavier, there large size isnt all muscle, a lot of it dead weight like bone deposits.

The thing that detemines speed is the development of certain muscle groups and length of tibia to femur ratio. Endurance is based on heart and lung size. Stride doesnt mean instantly faster.

A Hippopotamus is big, bigger then a troll, and they have lots of fat, but they are still very fast over short distances.

And your point? Like I said bone ratios and muscle grouping determines speed. IF a troll has the same bone ratios and muscle groups of a human his size will be a limiting factor in his speed.
