I'm going to command someone "don't see me" every ip until I can hide. (yeah I know they can still hear me.
Actually though, I'm thinking about using this on my next run to command the J to tell the truth as to whether or not he's planning on double crossing me. "Now mon cherie, are you planning on couble crossing me? Tell the truth now please."[I]

The hiding would be interesting, but telling the J to tell the truth might be difficult as the Commanding voice does say 5 words or less.

I think he meant, ask the question, then in a commanding voice, "Tell the truth now please." 5 words... The question just sets the context. However there's nothing that requires the Johnson to answer. He could perhaps say, "I'm wearing women's panrties" and fulfil the requirements of the command. That is if he's wearing women's panties.

Not only that, but you'd have to be sure he didn't have any magical support at the meet. Things might go bad for you if you tried that.

Yea, I would definately put it on par with mind probing your Johnson... Is there any language that indicates that the target won't know what's happening?

ummm... why not mind probe him if you're gonna be that obvious? you think he's not gonna realise he's just been ordered to tell the truth, and he did it while not having previously intended too? he's gonna assume something screwy is going on, and your reputation will go straight to the gutter. if you're gonna pull this kind of stunt on a Mr. J, you better have a damn good reason for it.

I'm assuming you mis-quoted? That's what I was saying.

"Eat my shorts!"
Just use Commanding Voice with a physically improbable exclamation on people who annoy you. Just don't use "bite me" or "eat me".

Indeed. The tag line for that spell/ability should be:
"All the silliness of the D&D spell "Command" without that pesky need for a cleric."

i've always found that in situations like this, "strip" is a great command. at least, assuming they have their armor and gear harness on the outside at least, in which case the armor and weapons will be the first thing to go

sadly, D&D 3.x has 6 second rounds instead of the old one minute rounds, and command stayed at one round instead of one minute, so this doesn't work as well in the new edition

(of course, it's important to be choosy about your targets... no one wants to see the obese ghoul strip, for example)

I thought it was a neat ability with lots of practical uses. I can see now that some people love abusing things.

Grrr.
And yet so many people here seem to have a preternatural aversion to the fact that according to the RAW you can successfully tell someone to kill themselves without even using CV.

Have you been reading Preacher again? Never have I laughed so hard at someone telling another, "Fuck yourself."
