Hi,

I was posting this to see if anybody is interested in playing some "Not Quite Old School" SR. It will be a 3rd Edition game.

I am looking for 2 to 4 runners who are interested in some investigative work. The game is going to be set in the year 2050, so only material from the core book for now. This may change if this becomes a campaign.

. Characters may be built via standard priority system, or point-buy, 123 pts.

. Edges and Flaws are allowed, but must make sense.

. Characters must have enough background to be believable, but not neccessarily need a novella written about them.

. Electric guitars and elves with mullets will be seen in this game. This means you will also see Harrison Ford-style high-collar longcoats in brown, and japanese guys with mirrored sunglasses at night carrying katanas.

. *special* If your character has any background info you don't want to be revealed OOC, PM it to me.

I too will get something together, since the last SR3 game that I was in on here went to the wayside..

Question-

What are other people looking at making? For the GM, what sort of focus do you see the game being on? I'd hate to make CyberSam 1.0 if the game is not going to be that combat heavy (just as an example).

It will be an investigation/manhunt...not a combat heavy run. =)

Thinking street shammy or sneaky type mystic adept (as everyone I make just about makes it through the briefing *8-<)

My idea is for an ex- Lone Star Detective, with... "personal" problems.

I'm going to have to bow out, I think. I can't think of a build and backstory that really grips me, and I was also going to go with an ex-Lone Star detective, but got beaten to it.
