Hello everyone! First of all, I'm new to this Dumpshock thingie, so pleased to meet you all.
Well, introductions made, my question is very simple (kind of stoopid, some may say), and I'm sorry if it's been asked before already. (I searched for it 180 days behind and found nothing at least)
Can you use BOTH Treat and Heal spells on the same set of wounds?
Thanks in advance for sharing your wisdom with me.

According to the BBB, a character can only be healed magically once per wound. Magical section under Treat/Heal spells.
I would say a wiz has to choose either Treat or Heal -- not both.

Not in the game, in real life.

Bad God.
While trying to come up with a good God pun, I just started coming up with really bad religious jokes. This is NOT the worst:
Know what you call a Jewish pterosaur?
A Toranadon!

Come to think of it, I take the blame for introducing her to Shadowrun and by extension this board, don't I?
Hm. At least I'm too far away to stone...

I was just finishing the quote. Mostly because I love it so:
"We're all all mad here. You're mad too, otherwise you wouldn't be here"
or soemthing like that.

Ah yes... been far too long since I read those books.
Someone jog my memory... what does Treat do as compared to Heal?
~J
Siege
Feb 20 2004, 04:00 PM
Treat has a limited window of opportunity: specifically an hour from point of injury and has a marginally lighter drain to cast.
Heal can be applied at any time with a greater drain than Treat.

Per errata, it also takes half as long to become permanent.

just to drag the thread kicking and screaming back on topic, we have in our game in the past allowed people to use heal/treat spells on different injuries:
E.g. someone takes a light wound and a moderate from gunshot flesh wounds, and a serious from a grenade. The character is down and dying. The team mage immediately Treats the blast and burns from the grenade damage, getting the guy back on his feet and out of immediate danger, but leaves the two lighter wounds (as they are non-life threatening) till they get out of immediate danger. That takes more than an hour ruling out Treat, but the Heal spell is then applied to those the other injuries wounds.
Please note pceriott, the above is a houserule. Its not in the books. According to canon, you really should only apply heal spells to the state of the overall condition monitor, not seperate 'wounds'.
