Wednesday 12 June 2075 2058 Spetz Tea House Touristville Seattle


Sandy gathers herself together and nods to you as she wipes her mouth. "Sorry about that. It......it just was.......I'll find something." She moves off out of the room, returning in a couple of minutes with some bleach. Her face is quite pale, but you are already in another place and cannot see her or what she is doing. By the time you return to the meat world, she is near you, standing guard over your body with your rifle in her hands. There is a clear smell of bleach in the room. Sandy seems to have recovered her composure and lends you a hand to stand up. "OK. Situation is that KE are nearly here, but I have the van packed and ready and cleaned our DNA and prints. It is empty except for the dead bodies." She waves her hand at Pavel's body. "Be prepared for more of that. Cerczk, Anton, and Havel have been treated the same way. But we need to go. There is a rear entrance through the kitchen."

As the two of you leave, you have to step over Cerczk's body in the doorway and you can see several large holes in him from the machinegun fire that had to have killed him, but his throat has also been ripped open. The drone feeds show that a small crowd of people has gathered in front of the tea house but the rear alley seems to be unobstructed. Climbing into the van, Sandy tells you to buckle up and gets it moving. Just then you receive a message. >>Cynthia [Tanya]: Hey it is now 2100. I am assuming that we are still on for 2300? See you there.<<

Cynthia smiles feebly "Don't worry about it."

Afterwards, she follows Sandy through the kitchen and climbs into the van. "Alright, just follow the road I highlighted. Oh by the way, if someone asks questions, we were at the nearby 'Shack. Here's what we bought. And we went to the toilets there." Cynthia sends the list of things they are supposed to have bought to Sandy, then asks: "Given that it's all small streets and back alleys for a while...how long to go to the Industrial district? We're supposed to be there at 2300. Once we're safe, you should set the car to autopilot and take a nap. I know I will..."

After a pause, she adds "By the way... If you want out, I'll understand... But..." For a moment, Cynthia seems to hesitate, then shrugs and shuts up, deciding to not say more.

Cynthia also checks the feed from the drone following the mercenary. Since Sandy was out of it for barely a minute, it's probable it was in a moment where the drone was radio silent, so it shouldn't have had any consequence there. But best check on it. While they're driving in Touristville, she also checks Pavel's 'link, to see if there's any interesting stuff regarding the mercenaries. She doubts there is but you never know.

Once she has done everything she could, she makes herself as comfortable as she can, and reboots herself to nap.



I don't have anything planned for Cynthia until the meet, except an almost two hours nap in the van. More a crash from the adrenaline high than a real need, but it'll serve to heal the 2S I have.

Wednesday 12 June 2075 2113 Seattle


Sandy nods. "I got the road set in the nav computer and we should be out of Touristville area in about two minutes, well in advance of the KE arrival. Industrial District in about twenty-five, maybe thirty, depending on traffic. Yoiu got an address for where WE are supposed to be? And I don't suppose one of the things we bought on this imaginary shopping spree is some new clothes? I look a sight and you are not all that much better, so maybe a quick stop along the way?"

Your quick check of Pavel's 'link tells you that you might have a small treasure trove of data here, if you happen to speak Czech. He has been exchanging texts with someone named Milosec, a number of them during the time that you were in the tea house.

The drone has stopped moving and is flying above a large ranch-style house in a Tacoma neighborhood.

I think we are ready to go forward to the joint thread and see if we can make it work. I have Spokane already at the 'Shack in question and chatting with Tanya. I owe him a post and if I can keep my eyes open long enough to get it out I will.

Cynthia shrugs, apparently unconcerned "We're meeting at a 'Shack", she sends the address, "we'll find everything we need there. Including food, I'm famished. But I think I want to sleep more than eat for now so..." more focused, she adds "But I'm serious, if you want out of this, I'll understand. Don't feel like you have to, you didn't exactly signed up for this after all.. Just drop me near the 'Shack and it'll be alright." she raises an eyebrow then and drops that subject for an easier one "Looks like the drone following the mercenary stopped. You should have it go away for now, we don't want to spook them after all..."

Looking at the 'link, Cynthia grumbles. Then with a smirk, she compiles Sherlock, and asks him to translate the content of the link for her, while she takes her nap. Oh and possibly, to check on two other things: first, back on Sunday, she managed to track Roger's signal. At the time, she had dismissed it, but it could be useful or even important now, so she wants him to see what he can find of the place. Second, and more importantly, she wants him to look into the mystery of the Yakuza on Sampson board members, and those who share their name. Nothing too important, but mainly a census of those. If they got too clever for their own good, it could lead to unknown important places for Sampson.

But... She'll look at the results later. With a yawn, she props herself comfortably and goes to sleep.

Other than "a seventeen years old girl", Sandy was never described. If you don't have anything specific in mind, I looked for an image that could be cool, and found that one, though the clothes would be wrong until we find her something better of course ^^
If we want something more "colourful", we have this one or that one.

Sandy looks over at you and smiles. "Hey now, none of that crazy talk. I have not felt so..................needed, I guess..............in a long time. No, I am here for the time being, at least until you tell me to go away. And the drone is already about a mile back from the site. The feed you have is from several minutes ago when they stopped. Do you want me to put it on continuous feed again?"

Sherlock nods and sets off on his tasks.

You fall asleep.

I rather like the second one, unless you have a real preference for the first, which is good, too. When I created Sandy, I was not sure if you would want to keep her.

I think we are just about ready to combine as by the time you wake up you will be at the 'Shack for the meeting.

I'm perfectly happy with any of those, so second of the three it is.
And Cynthia wasn't sure either. But, well... Stuff happens ^^

When she wakes up near the 'Shack, Cynthia checks that nothing unexpected happened. Once reassured that she's still in the same van, with the same person, she grumbles "Good thing we're meeting at a 'Shack, I think my stomach is digesting itself..."

While Sandy parks the van - or the van parks itself if Sandy is also sleeping - Cynthia checks on Sherlock's results, starting with Pavrl's 'link, Roger's physical location when she traced him, and finally the Yakuza enigma.
