Here's the skinny:
SR 4th edition
400 BP
I'm in the mood to run a game but I'm tired of PBP games and their what has been in my experience, a very limited shelf life.
I've got no set agenda or module set in mind.
I'm looking for well rounded characters, do not bring a 1-trick pony to my desk and expect it to pass muster. I don't care if you can throw 20+ dice at 1 given test and your characters entire life has been spent training on how to do that one test type.
Tools you'll need:
OpenRPG found here
An open time slot, on Tuesdays, 7PM EST (-5 GMT) to around 11PM EST (-5GMT)
An open mind. I've been known to throw some odd concepts as judged by today's standards.
House Rules (include the following, but not limited to):
Snipe unto NPC's as you would have NPC's snipe unto you.
Programs will be limited in rating not only by System but also Logic. My personal feeling is that without being inherently intelligent, you can't make full use of a program. Complex forms have their own balancing mechanisms. I personally belive that a wannabe with a 1 logic should not be as good a hacker as the Dodger just because he went and blew 100k on the best link and programs.
Agent armies: See sniping
If I need to house rule something later, it will be added to the house rule list that I'll add a link to with the weekly emails.
Things you need to know
While I can be won over by a well thought out arguement, understand as GM I have my idea of balance. If an issue comes up, we'll take it to IM's or deal with it later if possible.
My goal is a smooth running game, not stroking your ego.
I would like, but it is not necessary for you as players to keep personal diaries for your characters. Mainly because if I get a wild hair to create a short story, I'll have other information to draw on. Anything written will see the proper people credited for input if at all humanly possible.
I am not necessarily driving an over all plot. If you the players want a B&E game, then you as players need to tell the person making the pitch that you don't do wetwork, I the GM will not take it personally if you as runners walk away from jobs that don't 'feel' right.
Between missions, you guys will have as much down time as you all agree to. You'll have to find the time between test intervals yourselves.
Post general interest here, I'll PM and invite the individuals I choose after a 1 week time frame. If you didn't get chosen, nothing personal.
