They started making them along with freeze dried ice cream and other "astronaut food" again in the early 80's when they were all pumped up about the Space Shuttle program and Skylab. At least until the Challanger blew up. I'm sure they're starting to show up again because of the intrest in Mars[/hijack]

What I like most about SR: Tech, setting, the feel of a robust and continuous world.
What I like least about SR: Rampant ridiculousness in some corners, the idea of magic creeping into everything, the lack of full cloning/personality dumping.

Started with 1st, technically (yay for older brothers), but got my first book of my own (other than Sprawl Sites and Paranormal Animals of North America, which I think said older brother had manipulated me into buying for his own nefarious purposes) in 1996 with 2nd ed. Played that all the way through 3rd, and just recently started 4th with a new group.
Favorite parts: Mohawks, Janet Aulisio's art, and punks who show up to meet their Johnsons in spikey leather jackets.
Least favorite parts: Dunkelzahn, immortal elves, and any mention of either in sourcebooks.
