Okies, so we're all supposed to know each other before this thing begins... we could always do the 'we've done a few runs in Hong Kong together before' bit and leave it at that, but I'd think it would be more fun if we fleshed it out a bit
I tried to put together (without dropping unnecessary spoilers) some ways people might know Scope as well as generic info anyone who ran with her before would know. PM me if one of the 'if you were blah blah blah's applies to you and you want to have history prior to Hong Kong with Scope

Look through this stuff - especially the New York stuff - and let me know if Scope's timeline of being at Knight Errant New York matches up with anything in John Wrought's past. I had an idea if you're interested in which they worked together in Counter-Terrorism for a while - maybe he was a hostage negotiator and she was one of the combat team there... could have even been an important event for one or both of them. Back then Scope was a much different person - she actually cared a little too much and had a well-developed conscience. Complete straight-shooter, anti-corruption, in-it-for-justice type.
Here is what anyone who has worked with Scope before would know:
She is about 5'9" with a gymnast's build, raven black hair, and no scars that you have seen. At meets she wears a neo-Italian business suit, but otherwise wears a black spaghetti tank, black combat fatigue pants, a black beret, and a black combat jacket. Her eyes are cybernetic, but most of the time appear a natural color (usually blue). While openly in her runner persona, they have images uploaded that make them appear to be red sniper's crosshairs for pupils over black corneas. She is generally no-nonsense when it comes to the run, and she is active in the planning stages - seeming to be well acquainted with tactics, physical security systems, and security procedures. Her voice is unemotive for the most part, and she has a militarized nature - often slipping into military lingo and only translating to 'plain english/mandarin' if asked. She doesn't trust wireless computers at all - the only thing wireless you've seen her use willingly is a micro-transceiver, and even that she uses sparingly. On runs, you've seen that she depends on stealth for the most part, but is an incredible shot with her sniper rifle - an aging CAS MA-2100 that appears to have been through a lot of combat and has both square and round pip marks representing kills. If you call her a sniper, she usually corrects you by saying "A sniper is a random slot with a hunting rifle who tries to pick people off from a distance. I am a sharpshooter, not a sniper."
While she is generally unemotive, it is obvious through her actions that she cares about the people she runs with. She doesn't believe in leaving anyone behind and goes out of her way to cover her teams' hoops even when it isn't in her own best interest. Before every run, she hands out a cigar to each runner - meant to be a victory dance once everyone is back safely.
When not working, she often is want to discuss philosophy - seemingly at least rudimentarily versed in both western and eastern philosophy - and obsessed with the concept of the soul. She also quotes (sometimes taking liberties or simply misquoting) Shakespeare and Arthurian legend during verbal sparring. She doesn't seem to be 'all quite there' though... always a half a second behind everyone else when laughing at a joke or not seeming to understand why people get upset over some things (especially 'enemy casualties' as she puts it). However, while her sense of humor is underdeveloped at worst and macabre at best, she always keeps her word and always does right by her team-members. Oh, and there are two types of angry that she gets... the first is a kind of 'fake angry' she does sometimes (especially when yelled at, something goes awry, or someone else is angry about something and she tries to be supportive). That sort of angry doesn't seem to mess with her judgment or do anything at all other than make her cuss in rapid fire Italian. The other sort of angry is the one to watch for... its when she gets quiet and this look comes on her face... that's when you know drek is about to happen.
Those who only ran with her in Hong Kong would know:
She showed up not too long ago and hasn't set up a network yet. Judging by her gear, you'd guess that she wasn't unsuccessful wherever she came from, so she must have a reason to be in Hong Kong. Definitely a Westerner, but she seems to have a lot of respect for local beliefs. She knew some Mandarin when she got here too.
Those who were in Seattle between 2066 and 2069 might know:
[ Spoiler ]
Scope showed up in the Seattle shadows in 2066 working with an established team that had just lost some members on a run on the east coast. Nobody had ever heard of her before, and for the first year she went by the name "Spooky" - then her team left for Hong Kong and she stayed behind. After that, she worked with the Mafia Gianelli family for a while and gained a rep as a cleaner who would take any job no matter how unsettling the target. She returned to normal shadow-work later. Then she upped and left without saying a word to anyone. The last person to see her in Seattle was a priest at a catholic church in Puyallup City - she'd merely told him that she'd found her purpose again.
Those who were runners in New York in early 2066 might have been involved with an important event in Scope's life:
[ Spoiler ]
In early 2066, a runner team was doing an extraction job in New York - the target was a willing surgeon who had worked for Ares, and the escape was supposed to be via first a commandeered Doc-Wagon truck and then via ship. A black ops team ambushed the truck mid-transit - killing two of the runners. One of the black ops team - the apparent leader - was thrown into an electric fence. When she came to, she killed her remaining team-members and helped the runners escape New York on the condition they took her with them - she proved herself by warning them that the ship was a trap - its captain already in custody. She left with the team for Seattle and ran with them there for a while before they parted ways. They called her 'Spooky Sierra' since they only knew her call-sign, and later shortened it to 'Spooky.'
Those who were runners/criminals in New York between 2056 and 2059 might know:
[ Spoiler ]
There was a Knight Errant officer named Gun-Dancer - real name Sarah Sneider. She was a straight-shooter, wouldn't take a bribe for anything. She worked in several divisions, but she was most worrisome while working in Fast-Response. Generally thought of as bad news with a badge.
Those who worked in law enforcement in New York between 2056 and 2064 might know:
[ Spoiler ]
Sarah Sneider was only about 15 out of training - the daughter of a KE Colonel, she showed a lot of promise. She bounced around several divisions including organized crime, fast-response, counter-terrorism, and finally special forces. She was one of the best sharpshooters on the force, and had a natural leadership ability that led to her rapid promotion to Captain. No matter how bad the job wore on, she always had a smile on her face and always knew just the right joke to cheer her friends up - and unlike most people, she made it a point to be friendly to everyone on the force. She and another officer - a fellow by the name of Gryphon - were going pretty steady. Then Gryphon was accused of corruption in 2059, and he died during arrest. Sarah disappeared after that - but it turned out she had just been transferred to an Ares special division. She was only seen a couple of times after that - she was like a different person altogether - a lot darker and a lot meaner; no more jokes or smiles, just business... nobody liked being around her like that. Then she disappeared altogether in 2064 after the crash, and the computers swore that she never existed.
Those who lived in the New York Ares corporate enclave pre 2054 might know:
[ Spoiler ]
Sarah Sneider was a talented little girl - the daughter of a CAS commando who had been hired by Knight Errant and promoted straight to Colonel. She was an excellent gymnast and did very well in her classes, but she was sickly and a lot of people suspected problems at home. She was hospitalized in 2054, and nobody heard from her again until she was a Knight Errant officer in 2056.
