QUOTE (The Kinks)
Well I'm not the worlds most physical guy
But when she squeezed me tight she nearly broke my spine
Oh my Lola Lo-Lo-Lo-Lo Lola

Obviously, a troll.

QUOTE (The Kinks)
Well I'm not the world's most masculine man
But I know what I am and I'm glad I'm a man
And so is Lola
Lo-Lo-Lo-Lo Lola Lo-Lo-Lo-Lo Lola
Lola Lo-Lo-Lo-Lo Lola Lo-Lo-Lo-Lo Lola

With no small seduction skill.

I'm curious to see how people would go about creating a competent face/seductress troll. The character doesn't have to be a pornomancer, but should be competent enough to reliably make the average character glad that she's he's a man (or she's a woman, as the case may be) with little chance of failure. Well-rounded capabilities are preferred, but not entirely necessary.
Tarantula
Did this one up real quick, but looks pretty decent.

Important pools:
Most social checks, Cha (5) + Skill (4) + Pheromones (3) + Receptors (2) + Vocal Enhance (1) + I.A Con/Negotiation/Ettiquette 4 + Kinetics (4) = 23 dice. Leadership only gets 19.

Attack pools are 4 agi + 6 skill - 2 recoil= 8 dice for a long burst fire attack with 2 recoil, doing 9P. (Or get some stick n shock and get 11S(e) instead).
Glyph
Here's mine, a bit less of a pro face and more of a nightclub entertainer.

BookWyrm
Uhm.....as much as I hate to spoil it for you, the Lola he sings about is a transvestite.
Sir_Psycho
2 point mental flaw?
Glyph
Yeah, I've heard the song, although the fun is that it's deliberately ambiguous rather than out-and-out saying it. No big deal if you want a transvestite, though. Gender doesn't cost BPs, and you can go for the sex change bioware if you want a hermaphrodite.

A literal interpretation of the song would have a harder time seducing a guy, though. Unlike some other posters, I think that changing someone's gender preference would be a high enough threshold to challenge even the elven pornomancer build.

Although "not the world's most physical guy" and "never even kissed a woman before" could lower that threshold. wink.gif
Jaid
even then, iirc, didn't he say he *almost* fell for her? =S
JBlades
Hey, you all forgotten the "palming" skill (s)he'd need to conceal her "weapon"!

*ducks n hides*
Kyoto Kid
..okay, here's Babydoll. Now she was created before Augmentation and for a more rough & tumble campaign so she's a bit more on the buff side.

QUOTE
Well we drank champagne and danced all night
Under electric candlelight
She picked me up and sat me on her knee
And said dear boy won’t you come home with me
Well I’m not the world’s most passionate guy
But when I looked in her eyes well I almost fell for my Lola
Lo-lo-lo-lo Lola lo-lo-lo-lo Lola
Lola lo-lo-lo-lo Lola lo-lo-lo-lo Lola

I pushed her away
I walked to the door
I fell to the floor
I got down on my knees
Then I looked at her and she at me

Well that’s the way that I want it to stay
And I always want it to be that way for my Lola
Lo-lo-lo-lo Lola
Girls will be boys and boys will be girls
It’s a mixed up muddled up shook up world except for Lola
Lo-lo-lo-lo Lola

Well I left home just a week before
And I’d never ever kissed a woman before
But Lola smiled and took me by the hand
And said dear boy I’m gonna make you a man

Yes, he says almost, then after almost falling for her he does fall for her, rather literally. He pushes her away and then he changes his mind.

They're all looking good, I believe.

Tarantula's is absurdly powerful, which is always great, but violates the Augmented Skill Cap by having Improved Attributes at 4 (IA is considered a skill augmentation, which limits it to half the base skill)

KK's seems to be the most well-rounded.

Glyphs looks like she'd be the most interesting to have in a game.
Tarantula
And here I was reading "You can not have more additional dice than your base skill rating. Improved Ability does not actually improve a skill's rating, it only provides additional dice for tests involving the skill." Meant that it was an exception to that rule.
Kyoto Kid
...I thought that iImproved Ability was limited to half the skill's rating rounded own (or, am I still thinking in 3e terms)?

[edit]

Also, isn't the availability for Tailored Pheromones 5 x rating?
Moon-Hawk
Improved Ability does fall under the skill cap of 1.5x base skill, as per the errata. So yeah, half the skill's rating extra dice from improved attribute.

It was a copy/paste from SR3, which they accidentally forgot to change, it has been errata-ed.
Tarantula
Crap. I hate that damned errata.
Fortune
At present, pretty much the only things that fall under the Skill Cap rule are Reflex Recorders and the Improved Ability Power. Everything else is considered Bonus Dice. There might be one or two more from Augmentation that I'm forgetting though.

2 point mental flaw?

Whether or not being a transvestite should be a "mental flaw" is a terribly loaded question. Suggesting that it should is basically saying there's something wrong with it. On the other hand, it IS a definite pain in the ass, as any guy that's been attacked for pulling off that cute little black number too well can tell you. So I don't know. Maybe there just needs to be a better term for it than "flaw". Maybe get bonus build points as a reward for having balls?

but then, you should get the same for any lifestyle choice that's going to bring hostility from jackasses. How many BP is being an attractive female worth? They definitely get messed with more than guys do. How many BP is homosexuality worth? How many BP for each abortion you've had that someone's going to throw a tantrum over?

Personally, I don't think lifestyle choices should come with BP values attached (except, you know, high/middle/low/street/squatter). I don't know if they were trying to encourage elf posers to actually exist by giving them an incentive, but it's not a big enough incentive that I've ever seen anyone actually play one (though for part of Harlequin, I think one or two of us might have been elf-poser-posers for an hour or so to infiltrate). And if you think about it, I could start wearing stupid shirts all the time, and people would make fun of me for that. Should I get BP for it? (and before anyone says anything about the cost/permanence of cosmetic elf mods, they're really expensive stupid shirts, and lots of people are taking pictures and posting them on the Matrix)

What should be a mental flaw, however, is not agreeing that "Lola" is an awesome song.

...Actually, more of a Social Flaw that adds to the TN (3rd ed) or subtracts from the DP (4th ed) for all Etiquette tests, irregardless of specialisation. grinbig.gif
Whipstitch
I know a girl who hated that song, but she was ugly and named Lola, so she had her reasons.
Karaden
Alright, here is What I came up with. Adjustments can easily be made to make her better at sudduction or leadership, or whichever by changing the improved ability and the aptitude. Here we go...

[ Spoiler ]

So, how good is she at what she does? Well, lets do a simple Diplomacy- Skill of 7, specilization for 9, charisma 6, Pheremones add 3, receptors add 3, voice adds 1, first impression could add 2, Improved ability for another 3, and finally Kinetics for another 6, giving a grand total of 33 dice pool nyahnyah.gif I think even Humanis would have trouble not giving in to her.

Keep in mind she could be adjusted to be good at con (seduction) to fit better with the song, giving her a dice pool of 33 for seducuing people she's just met.

Oh, and though she specilizes in that one, it doesn't stop her having a good 23-27 dice pool on other social things, depending on first impression and specilization.

"Well, Mr. Johnson, I'd really like to do the job for what you're offering, but with risks like this, certain expenditures must be.....I'm sorry, could you turn this crap off?"

"BWWAAAAUGHH! I'm a big bad troll that can intimidate you! Bwauugh! Wait a sec, could we turn off the Kinks? It's just that I'm really more of a jazz purist, and..."

Yep. Intimidation and negotiations are the only two social rolls I can imagine in SR, and your rule seems to apply there. Airtight! I'm using it from now on!
Kyoto Kid
...much obliged.
