I have to log in every time I return to the site (that is after I booted my laptop) and don't stay logged in as in the old forum. The same problem occurs with the Privateer Press boards, which are using the same board software. I'm using Firefox.
And second the need for a clearer distinction between postings, I accidently quoted the wrong postings too.
The log in thing is likely a cookie issue. I had problems when we were testing the boards, and cleaning up my cookies and such from the browser helped.
And I'll talk to Red and borders between posts to the list. I've done that myself already once here, and I've done it on another board that has a similar layout.
It may be related to the skin, though, and if that's the case may be a bitch to fix.

Am I too stupid or isn't isn't is possible to quote a post including the quotes in it?
Best sentence ever, I know.

I've noticed that too. There are no 'post pyramids', because when you click 'Quote', it only quotes the actual text posted by that poster, and not any quoted text contained in the post. A small pain in the butt, but it keeps those half-page quote trees in check. If you use the quote buttons, there is a little button thing right next to the quoted person's name (at the top of the quote) that links back to the original post that you quoted, for those that need further reference.
It's possible to still do, you just have to use the multiquote function, and move one (or more) of the closing tags.
I think it's a feature designed to keep the boards cleaner and, as you say, keep the giant quote trees down. Not really something that generally bothers me, though it can be helpful to have a couple quotes in a single response.

The option to change it appears to be gone for me, now, which is something I hadn't counted on...
I think Red pulled it down to play with it. It wasn't supposed to have been left on initially, but since it was, I think we're discussing exactly how we're gonna leave it implemented.
