Full Version: Looking for runners in NYC

I am a veteran GM looking to put a group together here in NYC. I've been GMing for over 15 years and consider myself to be quite good at it. My adventures tend to be plot heavy, full of conspiracies, lots of dialog, grim atmosphere, somewhat lighter on the combat side (combat does happen, but I like to give it some purpose). Therefore, hack&slash centric players and rules lawyers tend to not do well on my games. I prefer players who are articulate, clever, imaginative, can think on their feet, have a sense of humor and are eager to take part and help develop a cool story.
I am 34 years old, well educated, mature, with a life beyond gaming and not living on my parent's basement and would like to have players that fit a similar profile. I have a comfortable place for games in Queens, just a few subway stops from Manhattan via the 7 line.
If this sounds interesting to you and/or anyone else you know, please reply to (camberiu at yahoo dot com) or contact me via AIM (camberiu1). We can then chat a bit and see if we have a good match between player and GM. Thank you for your time and look forward to hearing from you.

This is so not funny. I've been away from NYC for years now, but back when I was in high school I would've killed for more chances to play SR2. Oh well, that's just how crap goes down I guess.

EDIT: OTOH I guess it's just as good since my play/GM style revolves in a rather bipolar manner between cracking 80s jokes and approaching each scenario in a tactical manner as though it were a custom mission for Operation Flashpoint. (Which isn't the same has hack and slash since OF had some SERE type missions.)
