Here's a sneak preview of a Global Forum View page that I'm working on. My current thinking is that there will be an option added to the control panel to allow you to set this as your default view. Let me know what you think.

Looks good...

...perhaps a divider between the forums...

...some repetition of Last Post from the subforums to the main...

...will there be a "Old Books" forum or something?

1. I'm not sure about a divider, but I might be able to alternate the colors.
2. The last post is always the last post from the forum or any of it's subforums, whichever is more recent. I can't easily do anything about this.
3. Do you mean an "Old Books" forum that would house all of the subforums for individual books when they are no longer Recent Releases? If so, then we'd like to get that functionality into Knowbot instead but since Knowbot is not complete it's possible that there will be a place for archived forum content for those subforums when they are no longer recent. We'll have to wait and see.

Awesome, Mark. I hope that this becomes the default setting!

Ok, a user preference has been added to the profile page for this. To set it, you can go to:

My Controls -> Edit Profile Info -> Forum View

I know, it's in kind of an awkward place, but that's where the least amount of code modification was required, so there you have it.

No, all forthcoming books will be in the Sourcebooks Discussion forum, with the most recent at the top.
