While I've enjoyed reading Runners Companion a second time, great book by the way! smile.gif I was wondering if we could get an update regarding how close we are to seeing Feral cities & Ghost Cartels released, meaning can we still expect to seem them released this year ? And if Vice will be released this year or next year ?

On another note, any chance for some more info regarding the novels coming out next year, like authors, numbers of novels etc. ?

Not much CGL folk posting these days. There should be a chat on Sep 20th, if the usual schedule is kept.

Ah okay ty Ryu, well if they are taking their vacation now I how they are enjoying themselves, they do deserve it after all their hard work smile.gif

I assume we will be told of when to expect an upcoming chat on the homepage or here, but one on the 20th would be cool. Anyways at the next chat im sure we will get some answers.

Silence since Gencon hmm could be danger on the horizon? Seriously though they were busy beavers Unwired and RC came out close together and the con season in midst of it, I know that would be enough to make me want sit back for awhile. That being said waiting on be able to run Ghost Cartels for awhile now hope we do see it soon.

As far as SR fiction goes, it was announced at GenCon that things would kick off with a short story anthology, followed by Mel Odom's return to SR novels. Odom's novel would be followed by one from Phaedra Weldon, author of the Zoe Martinique series and a dear as well.

That's all that was announced at GenCon, but there were certain rumors that at least one of the authors of the WizKids SR novels was in the early stages of novel outlining . . .

We've been terribly busy following GenCon for a number of reasons (including the lead developer becoming a dad much earlier than originally planned). FYI Ghost Cartels is currently in final proofing and Feral Cities is in layout.

This month's Catalyst Shadowrun Chat (Saturday, Sept 20) will include the usual Q&A and will focus on the stuff that was mentioned at the GenCon seminar. Some of the highlights include:
  • New Shadowrun short story anthology and novel line
  • Remaining 2008 products: Ghost Cartels, Feral Cities, Dawn of the Artifacts adventure
  • 2009 products: Vice, Running Wild, Corporate Guide
  • 2009 Anniversary Products: Sixth World Almanac, Seattle 2072, GMs Toolkit, SR Introductory Set, supadupa tribute campaign/plot arc
  • Ebooks and SR:M Season 3
Ryu
Congratulations on becoming a dad! smile.gif

(Certainly sounds like "interesting times" at their best)

Thank you very much for the update Synner smile.gif Looking forward to the upcoming chat.

Dawn of the Artifacts: havent heared about that one before any chance we could get a tiny bit of info about this one, like what the subject is or where it takes place? How long is the book, is it like Brainscan & Survival of the fittest ?
Kairo
Yeah, I'm really looking forward to hearing more on Dawn of the Artifacts. My character's concept is an Arcane Treasure Hunter, so he'd possibly fit the bill for an adventure like that.
