Jake hardwire transfers an unencrypted copy of the data to his secondary commlink, detaches it from his PAN, and manually fiber-op transfers the data to the Johnson's comm. He then deletes the copy on his commlink, but leaves the encrypted, stealth copy on his headware.

"Job's done, and the data's here for you, and we're all alive and paid. You didn't even screw us with corpscrip from some enemy company. Once I'm safely at home, and my friends here have melted into the shadows, the only other copy of that data crumbles into 1's and 0's and gets overwritten with the next episode of "Modern Marvels." Nice doing business with you."

He looks at Charlie, and DD. "We could use a few face on the strip club floor, DD, and looks like I have enough to expand the retainer and insurance budget." He smiles at Charlie. "We could probably afford a magical security expert on retainer..."

Truth raises an eyebrow at Jake's comment, but changes the subject rather than interject his opinion.

"One last thing to bring up before we spend our reward on ale and whores, I'm putting together a parts list to send to my hardware guy. If anyone's looking for anything from communications gear, to commlink components, to heavy weapons, let me know and I'll see what he can find you."

"I don't know, I'm not looking to relocate. I also have some serious work to do with my studies now that I have the money to pay for all the things I'll need. I'm also going to be getting some direct tutoring for Mirta and Mike, but I don't think a week end or two a month in LA would be that disruptive." Charlie replies with a shrug. Actually she figured she'd have a lot of time to herself once she moved in, maybe 3 days a month of consulting work to support herself leaving 28 days a month for studying, running, and fun.

"I'm gonna use some of mine to get some kicking glasses and earbuds, all the tricks that you chrome hounds can get installed that we poor mojo slingers can't get."
