Unless we win lotto, a little to far to commute frown.gif

Cheers

Curiosity made me look the distance up. Its amazing the difference between cultures. I drive that far for my Sunday game.

How cyclist friendly is Waikouaiti Waitati Rd? The distance is within my ride range but it may be deadly for cyclists.

I suspect you looked up the distance between Dunedin and "Palmerston", which is about 50 km.

If he lived there, i reckon we would be definitely able to arrange some type of match.

Unfourntally he lives in "Palmerston North", and that is (according to Google maps) 935 km away (and you have to go on a 2-3 hr ferry ride to get between the islands).

If you are keen to do that weekly for a game, you're a really keen gamer, and if you are keen to do that on a cycle, you are a heck of a lot fitter than I are (ok, if you ride a cycle, you probably are anyhow).

Well, I never won lotto, so I can't sent a chartered plane up for him, so I guess we'er back to no shared sessions frown.gif

Max,
Dunedin

PS:. I don't think Waikouaiti-Waitati Rd is very friendly to cycliests anyhow, its on the SH1 (our southern highway), it is quite windy, and it is only one lane either directions, so you would be dodging tired commuitors, and large trucks all your way (oh yes, and yesterday it was getting a light covering of snow, that wouldn't make it very friendly either. Did I mention than Palmerston and Dunedin are both at sea level (approx, i believe), but there is 2500' hill right between them frown.gif I'd be alright on the flat, but I'd never make that hill myself on a bike frown.gif

That is exactly what Google gave me. I had no idea to search both the boat and the fish.

Bikes are a wonderful thing and you can start going just a few km.
