So, I've been looking for a good system to run modern games in for my home group, and SR4 looks like the winner to me. It's got everything I like about Whitewolf's core system, without the convoluted bullshit introduced by the splat books. So, to see weather or not the system is appropriate for my table, I'd like to get into a game.
Experience: I've played both the Shadowrun games for Sega and SNES, and a bit of the 360 game. I've read most of the core SR book. I'm pretty sure I have a good enough understanding of the rules to build a fair character. I can't necessarily guarantee that he'll be a combat machine, however, as I'm unfamiliar with the Shadowrun metagame.
Character: I have one rolled up, a fairly well rounded but extremely lucky human. However, I'm not necessarily committed to him. I'm perfectly willing to roll whatever fits into the group best or what not. Again, this is the first SR4 game I've played. The goal is to learn the system.
Thanks for your consideration.
