Flush with success Granny returns to The Nexus and starts piecing together the individual elements of her master plan.
She had all the hardware to build The Ring. It was based on the kill-bottles The Nexus used to filter traffic from the Matrix. Built around the servers that she had found in the old hangers next to the airstrip when she was looking for somewhere to set up shop here it would be a unassailable fortress by the time she was done.
She had been surprised to find the Resonance Well when she had stumbled across it but such things weren't too uncommon on the old abandoned Airforce base, various tribes of Otaku had lived here for nearly a decade before the Crash and all sorts of mad experimental hardware was to be found lying all over the shop.
She had Kemuel persuade one of several Free AI's resident in The Nexus to use it as it's home node which further enhanced the system to the point of almost qualifying as a UV node.
It lacked the level of security she wanted however. For that she needed IC. She already had a rack of cutting edge hardware to run it on but had lacked the software. That was about to change.
It had to be done in a hurry. The hardware hadn't come cheap, neither had the cracked code she was about to use fulfil her dreams of Glaciation. Soon she would have to begin paying the money back, the sooner the better in fact.
