this is a character build I made with the karma system, please point out anything you see that is wrong

[ Spoiler ]
Mortified Penguin
Well, what's the concept? "Urban predator" could mean lots of things based on what the power level is. What was your total karma?

Um yeah... was there a backstory here somewhere? wink.gif

a little under 750 karma

He's an ares operative in seattle working to undermine lonestar's footing, I was going to take the "under cover" quality but figured even if he's found out, it doesn't matter due to the erased quality

A properly trained operative without first aid?

I had it, but got rid of it figuring a smart pack with a first aid kit is fine, more room for ammo & operator guns
Lok1 :)
Just a suggestion, but as towards the firearms and close combat skill make sure to ask yourself, "Do I need this skill group or just a few of the skills under it." you can save yourself alot of karma by only takeing the necisary skills. Yes virsitlty is good but one or 2 ranks in a secondary wepon skill with a specialisation in the wepon type you would use is much better than wasting alot of karma on a big skill group. Allowing you to exell in the use of you WOC*.

It's hard to tell if there are any math errors without a breakdown of Karma expenditure, and when I don't know whether you are using the old Attribute costs or the new Karma costs from SR4A.

What is your goal with this character? Currently, he is a moderately capable combat character, well-rounded (which I expect as a given with Karmagen) but with no real secondary specialty beyond being adaptable in urban combat. As far as general tweaking goes - Strength should generally be an odd number, so I would lower it by one, and use the points to raise some of the lower Attributes instead. I agree with what Lok1 : ) said about skill groups. Although if his current dice pool will let him survive, skill groups will save him a lot of Karma over the long run (assuming you want/need each of the skills, of course). I see that you only have cyberware. The biocompatibility quality saves you some Essense, but not nearly as much as you would save by getting a mix of cyberware and bioware. Synthcardium: 3 would either save you a lot of points (you could lower the Athletics skill group to one and still be doing one die better), or boost your athletics skills a lot higher.
