So my English teacher told us today that, for extra credit, we could each write a Spenserian stanza (Google it!) and hand it into her next Monday. So I wrote my poem about the emotions felt when the GM lets out his Evil GM Laugh, and I have decided to provide you with a little culture by posting it. So here it is:
And when, once more, I hear that madman’s laugh—
That frenzied sound—a-ringing in my ear,
I feel my courage drop by more than half,
For then my apprehension grows to fear.
What have I gotten myself into here?
Why should he o’er my destiny preside?
Yet one thing in my future is quite clear:
There’s truly nothing I can lose. So I decide
I’ll throw caution to the wind and enjoy the ride.

Heh. Not the worst gaming poetry I've seen, by far...

Yeah, and what's nice about it is that there's no specific references to gaming. When I submit it, I won't have that scenario where someone goes "what are stat points?" and I have to launch into a long-winded explanation, only to leave the questioner more baffled than before. However, I'm going to submit it under the title "For G.M." so that I can share a chuckle with all the RPers.

You might get that solely from the "I feel my courage drop by more than half" line
