You've read my brief atmosphere setup in the IC therad. Here's where you say "hi" and state how much (and what) you are letting everyone else know about you.
broho_pcp
J: I am a lady (don't even think about 'it') who will get the job done. I enjoy beautful sunsets and things that are burning. If you get to know me you will find that I am a good friend to have. I use magic and have other skills that are useful in the field. Pleased to meet everyone. I also have jet black hair and a hispanic complexion, however there is very little trace of hispanic accent when I speak.
Shadow
Lifter.

Heavy weapons specialist, Anti- personel, vehicle, and armor. He has enough ammo and weapons in his rusted MPUV to field a small army.
Panzergeist
I don't like having you yank my chain like this. Am I in or not?
Digital Heroin
Countdown

The man with no past, only a reputation. He replies to no other name, though some wiseasses ocassionally call him "The Count" he tolerates it, barely. He doesn't speak often in the company of other 'assets' but when he does, he's sure to be heard. Professional, thorough, ruthless... there's something just plain scary about a guy who smokes while he works with explosives.

Such a post would have been better handled in a private message.

no
Street Wyze
Trogdor is a Troll in his early thirties. His clothes are worn and he looks a little under-fed...you can tell he's been down on his luck for a while. He's been in-country for a few years, but some part of his brain just doesn't pick up new languages very well, he just couldn't learn spanish. He can sling a few spells, mostly support type stuff, and swing a vicious axe. He's a professional and has a very open personality.

P.S. Should we disable signatures for IC posts?

I would say no.
Digital Heroin
I'll be disabling mine, habit and preference.
Bearclaw
Trogdor sounds like the perfect sounds like the perfect buddy for Bearclaw. Bearclaw is an Elf, 6'6", about 215# and well kept looking even after a week in the deep jungle. He's a professional soldier with a capitol P.
He's mentioned some of his story. He claims to have been a Ghost, and his skills seem to back it up. Says he saw action along Tirs borders and in Amazonia before he headed up here. He considers himself an Amzonian now.
He knows the area from studying maps and photos, speaks spanish OK, carries his own rations and tent and shaves every day even in the swamp. He's not above joking around, but never when his AK 98 is unslung. Then he's got the focused eyes and generall twictchiness of a professional point man. He isn't interested in being in charge, but he's always in the lead.
Herald of Verjigorm
I'll get you started, the alleged stealth adept can show up without any warning when he's ready (if you had warning, then he didn't do his job well).
Shadow
Ok so I meant to do a longer story post introducing my character cause I really don't like doing it OOC. But it looks like my writing skills are sucking dog tonight.

Lifter is 8'6" with a shaved head. He trys (in vain) to keep his thick skin free of build up but usually fails. He wraps his tusks in black tape to keep them non reflective. He is friendly if not terribly talkative. When he does speak, he speaks slowly and enunciates every syllable. He does this to avoid speaking like a trog.

He only carries a troll sized (machete) Cougar Long blade in camp, no other weapons. Armor wise he has a full camo suit of Jungle fatigues, giving him a total of 6/4. It is too damn hot to wear too much for too long.

He has his own MPUV (rusted) and it is loaded with his gear in lock boxes. He has a Ares MP-LMG and about a 1,000 rounds of ammo. If asked he will also tell you that he's got a Great Dragon ATM and a MAW launcher.

Again, I really wanted to work this in IC but I just was suckin. These are things people should know before the game begins.

Trogdor is rolling his Paranormal Critters Knowledge skill

Results: 2,7,1,11
broho_pcp
J rolls her parazoology skill 2,3,3,5 for knowledge of local paracritters our team might run into in this area, and any information a friendly GM may add from the goodness of his heart.
Herald of Verjigorm
Trogdor: Fenrir wolves are huge, but are primarily native to Europe and Asia. Wolf shifters typically have a physical form of a common wolf. The spell "shapechange" does not have restrictions based on local fauna.

J.: The typical rule held by visitors to this region is, "If you know where it is, it won't be a threat." This is based off the fact that most animals who find humans edible would rather wait until a moment of weakness and kill you without a fight.

@J: Douglas feels a slight worried.

Also, I'm sorry. I'm using Street Wyze's computer, and I was signed in under his name by aciedent for that last post about Douglas. It won't happen again.
Bearclaw
Bearclaws essence is pretty low. His mood is mostly calm and some what excited. Action is what he is here for.
Bearclaw
I didn't see an intro post from Douglas.
broho_pcp
He did an intro IC.
Bearclaw
Yea, I guess so. Nevermind.
Street Wyze
Trogdor is curious, about his new team mates and his new mission. He is also a bit irritated, the reasons for which will be explained in my next IC post.
Digital Heroin
Countdown is calm, perhaps a little eerily so. He's in an analytical mood at the moment, with a tinge of amusement.
Shadow
Lifter is calm, but there is a nervous edge just under the surface, probably due to the impending mission.
Bearclaw
I think we should handle the leadership decision OOC. When we've got it worked out, we can be told who it is.
Our commander decideds who's in charge, not us. Military units are NEVER a democracy.
Shadow
Yeah, but even though we are wearing BDU's and calling some guy commander, were mercs, working for a rebellion. They barely know who's in charge they ain't going to give a fig about us. Unless they assign a NPC to be field commander it will (more than likely) be left up to us.
Bearclaw
Should we ask for a squad of grunts for backup/fire support?
Shadow
I got your fire support right here wink.gif

We can ask, but they will probably say no. They hire mercs for these kinds of missions so that they can shift their troops elsewhere. Maybe we could get a pathfinder though.
Bearclaw
Well, if they give me maps/photo's of the area I can fill that role (navigation/land of 5) but a local who's actually been over the land would be much better.
Jackzob
Think J is making her move for leader, and I'll let her have it. Doug isn't the leader type. The room he's in right now, with all the chit-chat and decisions, is not his element.
Bearclaw
Works for me. Bearclaw can do it, but he won't push as long as the squad leader is competent.
He's pretty good at planning ops and making them work, as long as he doesn't have to worry about morale and feelings and crap.
Shadow
Lifter has no intrest in being a leader. Point and shoot is his motto
broho_pcp
J: Well, if you guys insist. I guess my "subtlety" needs to be worked on. Anyway, you can count on me... to stab you in the back if I ever feel you have outlived your usefulness. embarrassed.gif

hmm..., who gets sacrificed first to appease the gods? That's the most important question a leader gets to answer.

Yeah, like when you and Stavros pushed my character into the Horror's portal, or whatever it was? Thanks a lot you fag! nyahnyah.gif
broho_pcp
Hmmm... I don't see any portals in the command tent, maybe I'll let you live this time.

Also, I wasn't leader in that group, I just didn't like you.
Jackzob
I find it amusing how everyone's character seems to have a problem with J being the leader, but none of the players do.

And yes, Doughlas is a Super-hero-want-to-be/ cityslicker... But I'm playing what I know. I've persoally never played a run out of the city, so why should my character have?
Bearclaw
Bearclaw distrusts anyone who insists on being called by a title. He'll go along with it. He was born in the Tir after all, so he learned young. But that doesn't mean he'll like it. Not many others will either. Anyone with any social skills knows that.
Since our boss didn't say who was in charge, and none of us are wearing rank, we need to vote on it. Not just let the loudest person be the boss.

So, we've got a trog who wants to be an Elf.
We've got a trog who doesn't like anyone.
We've got a woman who thinks she's the PE teacher.
We've got Batman who's a racist.
We've got an elf who probably thinks he's better than everyone else.
We've got a demo guy who's as crazy as most demo guys, and doesn't talk.

Great. We'll do well biggrin.gif
Shadow

I'm sorry? are you talking about Lifter? I think I have done a poor job of displaying the character if you are. He simply like's people to understand him when he speaks, and prefers not to smell. He may not be the biggest troll, but he carries the biggest guns. wink.gif
Bearclaw
I was exaggerating for comic effect wink.gif
Street Wyze
And Trogdor doesn't hate everyone, he's just not sure about a few yet. As far as leadership, J can take it and Trogdor will follow until he thinks she's screwed it up too much, then it'll be another story. If she doesn't screw up he probably wont have a problem.
Herald of Verjigorm
So, are you going to do anything soon, or debate the dysfunctions of each character for the rest of the week?

errrr, I already posted biggrin.gif
broho_pcp
How'd you know my character used to be a PE teacher, did the GM tell you?

(edit) I am having to much fun playing a jerk character.

I think we all are a little. I just hope the characters don't tear the team apart. I am very curious to see how this first mission is going to work. cool.gif
Digital Heroin
I'm cool with J being the leader, though if she thinks Countdown's gonna call her ma'me, she's dead wrong. There's a certain wisdom in not annoying the guy with a hundred kilos of plastique in the bed of his truck... biggrin.gif
Bearclaw
If she insists on Ma'am, Bearclaw will stick with M'lady. He will also stand before speaking to her, hold any doors open for her and generally be a pain in the ass, as long as she insists on being thought of as a woman, and not a soldier smile.gif He's been here before.
Shadow
Lifter doesn't care, she seems competent. He will treat everyone with the same respect. He's a professional after all.
