So yeah. Longtime battletech player, used to seeing the ads for Shadowrun and what not. Finally grew interested enough to try the universe and gaming system out. Unfortunately, no one plays it in my immediate area, and the folks who've posted games on here, I can't contact, since new folks can't send PM's. (lame.)

Advise?

If what you want to do is send PMs, I would advise posting in this thread.

Yeah, understandable. But, trust me, spam PMs are quite irritating, too. wink.gif

Anyways, you can post in the forum, if you want to contact someone specific about a game, why not make a post in that game's OOC thread? smile.gif

Sure, the PbP's are always looking for people and there's enough kind folk there that will help you with a character if you're not sure what to do. They're also nice in that they let you actually roleplay the character, whereas you'll go farther and faster in a face-to-face or chatroom group. It all depends on what you want out of the system. nyahnyah.gif

How common are the chat room ones? As a new player, Id figure the immediate interaction would help me ease in quicker.

For a lot of people, the in-person interactions are significantly more helpful, especially in the beginning.

Oh, and one more post and you'll have PM's auto-enabled.
