Interested in playing either a hacker or a sam
Grimm
I think I'd be interested in playing. Possibly a technomancer if that's cool.

I would like to join, I would like to make an infiltration specialist. I haven't decided whether to go Adept or Cyber/Bio. Got a coupla qusetion though for initiations: Is there a initiatory group available through our employer? Can we initate at generation? If so, what is the cost in BP?
Dumori
Yes and no.

Also cool I have 4 and all the bases covered more or less.

What kind of jobs do you want to do as a team?
Grimm
I'm pretty open on the types of runs. Use your imagination and make it horrifying. I mean interesting. Interesting is the word I wanted.

Since I got a TM-oriented character accepted into another game. Would you be objectionable to a CIA-type spook? He would probably be combination Face/Tech guy.

That style is ok. Could be fun also just remember your working on the right side of the firewalls most of the time. So focusing on intel gathering would fit the game better also TMs get some awesome powers in that vain.

Only last thing I'm working on 3 karma a month on top of extra from assignments payment is also the base from trust fund 2 plus extra from assignments again. As fro makign a custom lifestyle I may have mentioned it before bout you can tweak you high lifestyle but knocking things down to medium and or subtracting a bit from you monthly pay but you your life style has to still be high or more.

You have 500 BP and 1 million Nuyen. Why choose? cyber.gif
Dumori
Plus you can take adept and type O sytem for extar munchygoodness. Quick RP note you are all likely to have been working in Europe up till recently. Any one born into the corp is likely European if only by birth.

So true, so true.
Atomic Communist
Any chance on one more player joining? This one sounds awesome.
Dumori
I said I'd take up to 6 I'm at 4 so yes there is room for 2 more so yes you can join.
Atomic Communist
Woohoo. I shall contemplate a concept post haste.
TommyTwoToes
Ok I have my Infil specialist ready, do you want characters posted here or PM'ed?

My character Deiter Van derVooten is from Denmark. His family lost their livelihood when a dike failed. He was recruited out of the refugee camp after examination showed he had latent magical ability. Since then he has been working for the company and providing for his aging parents who have neither the inclination to work for the big corp, nor marketable talent to get them recruited.

My placement in the company was in the security branch since my magical talents greatly assist in sniffing out security breaches. I spent a great deal of time as an interrogator for the Corp-Sec.

OOC I am a bio-adept who is focused on stealth, disguise and social aspects. I should excell at infiltrating a location or group.
Talavera
Would it be possible for me to finish off the group and be number 6?

I was thinking of making a rigger to act as driver.
Dumori
yeah you can be the 6th.
Atomic Communist
I have a TM that I could 'upgrade' quite easily to fit into this business. Are you allowing for any submersions during chargen?
Talavera
Cheers ill start work straight away

is there a deadline?

I've said no to initiation so no to submersion as well.

No deadline as yet though the quicker the better but I still have some final touches to add so you got a while yet.
Grimm
Hey Dumori. I think I'm going to pass on joining your game. I'm already involved in two games and have some ideas for a game I want to run myself. So I don't want to over-commit. Thanks for considering me though.

Distance Strike Costs .5 Power Points, and it's really not that exciting even then.
Elemental Strike There is absolutely no reason to keep people from combining this with distance strike.

With the restriction of 'Must shout "houduken" whenever used' nyahnyah.gif

Joke aside, this looks like fun. I'd love to join, but got too much on my plate right now I think. Might make a character just for the heck of it though.
Dumori
I'm at 5 have one char in so far form last time. Corp name by the end of the week promise.

ZTech wink.gif
Dumori
Cerberus Implant Technology?

Cerberus Technological Institute?

Dark Plateau labs?

Interstice Science?

Gonna stop with game refrances now.
TommyTwoToes
Veridian Dynamics
Dumori
Cerberus Technological Institute has actually stuck with me. Not so much the Cerberus but CTI and the latter part have.
Dumori
Sorry life ate my posting time. I hit it with a newspaper so it should back off for now.

Any way name wise you guys work for the Charleston Technological Institute.

Is that a subsidiary of Charleston Chew? Or is it the other way around?

Made a sniper character if you ever happen to need extra players, but I won't throw my hat in just yet.
Dumori
Well so far your the second to have told me you made a PC.

I'm going to employ a dead line soon I'm also going to send out PM reminders soon.

If you still have an opening, I can have you a character, concept sheet and all, before you wake up in the morning (will put her together while I work). Looks like the group's lacking a dedicated face, so I could throw a social adept at you. Or an Infomancer TM who happens to be a decent face as well (since you suggested a tech who can do all the intel gathering).

Also, is there a standard equipment package for this team? i.e. Are they issued a standard set of armor, a vehicle, standard firearms, commlinks etc?
SleepIncarnate
Hey Atomic, what style of TM are you running with? I have one I been thinking of tweaking a bit for this (won't be hard as she was also a 500 BP corporate black ops character, just for DocWagon) who's a technoshaman, and figure why have overlap? I'm debating changing her to Info Savant, already changed her around some for the tweaks, but will wait until last minute for that if I do go with her.

Since Chance hasn't posted anything on here except for the once, also making an adept sam type character just in case there is a need for a tank/combat character.

Well, if I end up getting into this, I should have the combat area covered fairly well. Sniper with heavy milspec armor with ruthenium polymer coating wink.gif

Feel free to mention if that is too absurd, I certainly don't mind switching to light milspec armor (It's what I had to start with, but then realized there wasn't much reason not to switch)
Karoline
Oh, and I ran out of stuff to spend money on around 700k.

Oh, guess I could get some drones and vehicles and stuff.
Dumori
Yeah that much cash is there to alow serious cybernetic or rigging gear or passablely gene tech.

No that doesn't sound too absurd fro combat ops you might want to make sure you have other options if you need to keep a low profile. I've not got anything past the intro job done as well I want to tailor this to the PCs.

Karoline
Yeah, have a lined coat or whatever it is for more 'social' visits.

That or I figured the camo ability could possibly cause my armor to look like something else (like a business suit). Might be possible with lighter armor, but not so sure about heavy milspec.
Dumori
No I don't think you could pull off clothing maybe form a distance but you'll be trying to look like something smaller than you are.
Karoline
Well, figured the edges could do the normal 'see through' stuff, so it would appear smaller. It wouldn't hold up under close investigation of course, but the casual observer likely wouldn't notice.

The main problem would come when you try sitting on something and it looks like you're floating an inch or two (however thick the armor is) off the chair. Though even that likely wouldn't catch the eye of the casual observer.

Go down the street? Quite likely. Go through a crowded area? Maybe, though people would likely get suspicious quickly because of the feel. Go through security? Unlikely. More than likely they'll be looking at you closely enough to notice the slight errors, though on the other hand a -6 penalty is fairly serious, negating a skill/stat of 3/3, which is what you're 'average' security guard is likely to have.

I leave it up to you. I think it would work quite well, especially with lighter armors, but if not, I've already got the coat as backup anyway. Just need to tweak my points a bit more and finish up the character and all done with the crunch. Then I need to figure out a bit more about the actual character smile.gif

Oh, and should we get contacts? I got 15 points worth, but they're all restricted to Europe, so likely won't come into play much.

Go for a few more. If you want also feel free to buy group contacts as part of the corp. Run them buy me a bit more though.
SleepIncarnate
Speaking of contacts, do you use the optional Cha x2 free contacts optional rule? Also, what are your opinions on the various social software (emotional, lie detector, etc)? And what optional Matrix/TM rules (if any) do you use?
Dumori
No I don't this is 500BP with huge bosts on nuyen I'm sure you can find the contact points. As for the software I'm ok with it seeing as SR4A caps socal pool moddifers. Alsong as you method of using it isn't too dumb for the situation i'm ok with it.
SleepIncarnate
That's cool. And yeah, just a matter of tweaking the sheet around, don't want to nerf my TM's hacking abilities too muh in case Atomic decides not to follow through and make a TM, but wanting more contacts seeing as I'm planning this character as a face.

Also, this doesn't eally have to be asked, but how does everyone feel about getting a rating 4 tacnet and all having at least 8 sensor channels on hand? I know it sounds like a lot, but it's not hard at all, when you think of it, considering each individual sense given to a pair of glasses, goggles, cybereyes, etc counts as one sensor, plus any handheld or worn sensors like the RFID signal scanners most every runner has. Heck, we could even talk about a standard 8 sensor channels to use. Here's my suggestions:

1=Low Light
2=Thermographic
3=Ultrasound
4=Smartlink
5=Radio Signal Scanner
6=Ultrasound/Motion Sensor
7=Cyberware Scanner
8=Camera (equipped to your glasses/goggles/whatever)
Karoline
I've no problem with a tacnet. You actually made it more difficult than it needed to be for the 8 channels.

Goggles (1) with Low light (2), thermographic (3), smartlink (4) and vision enhancement (5).
Earbuds (6) with audio enhancement (7) and spacial recognizers (cool.gif

Anyone could buy that for a couple thousand or so tops.
Karoline
P.S. Given that everyone is from the same company and same country, I'm presuming that we're all used to working with each other, right? Or have we simply not had to work together before?

Ok, forgot that part. Here's a random question you might know the answer to, is image link needed for it as a TM? For example, if I wear contacts with a few of the upgrades but not image link (cause as a TM I already see AR), would I be able to benefit from it all if the tacsoft is on my link and not a CF? I know mundanes/magical types have to have an image link to see all the Matrix data and so on, but TM's normally don't. If I just slave the link to my biological PAN, can I just use my inherent abilities?

And yes, I bought my tacsoft as a program and not a CF. At 1 BP = 20,000:nuyen: it's a lot cheaper to buy a lot of the stuff as programs rather than spend 1 BP per CF rating, especially when I have that limit of Logic x2 to total CF's.
