Infiltration DP's for the Auxilia and Ares Centaur:
DP = Command 5 + Infiltration 3 + Custom Interface 1 + Optimized (command) 1 + TacNet bonus (4?)
DP = 14
That's the DP that those drones are using for sneaking up behind Squad 1.
The Ferrets have a DP about the same except is has a camouflage bonus for the nano-paint I think it's +1 or +2
The Centipedes move at 10m/round so roughly 12KM/Hr It would take them about 5 minutes to cover 1 kilometer. I was thinking of deploying them and sending them out to start spreading out into the School and getting eyes on the inside. Is that doable?

Did you remember the Tacnet bonuses? Either way, with them rolling an average 6D with penalties for your ruthenium suits and their lack of interest in anything other than each other there is bugger all chance of them spotting you in the first round so free actions for you. With an average of body 3 and maybe a point of impact armour (where they haven’t already taken their clothes off!) I will rule that a takedown is possible without needing dice rolling…if you want to do it with dice you can either buy successes or roll if you prefer?!? There are more significant threats coming up which will require more careful rolling

As an aside, if you use: Xd6.hits(5) in Invisible castle it will count the number of successes for you…easier when you have loads of dice. Can you also write out what it is you’re rolling eg Agi+Unarmed+Modifiers?!? (Saves me thinking too much

) Also, if you put the link to your Invisible Castle profile in your signature it saves you linking it for every roll!

Do I take it from this that you are jumping in to each drone individually to give them extra bonuses? Otherwise shouldn't there be a pilot rating in there somewhere? Either way, they are moving up cautiously as you described in your post

The centipedes can move up easily, although you might want them going slower than 12kph as something whipping past will draw attention even if it's tiny!
And if by 'the old girl' you are refering to the LAV then everything is AOK there...otherwise...huh?

I'm using remote control (basically an AR)
if I was jumped in, you could add +4 to all those rolls

but subtract the -2 so +2 overall.
I'm playing the best ps3 game ever basically.
The old Girl is in fact the Sultan
12kph isn't exactly whipping by.
But I can go slower, lets say they're going to go 8kph, so it'll take them 7 minutes to get into position. After that they'll go much much slower.
The average person can jog a 10 minute mile, which works out to basically 12kph.

@Aria - I updated my last post to include the commlink I found. I sent Sgt. Reid (one of the hackers) the info, hopefully he can find something useful. Otherwise, perhaps I can carry the commlink on me (or on Archer) to confuse any Friend or Foe recognition systems keyed off of commlinks.

Just to clarify, I believe the house near the school is what I designated Rally Point One, as it seemed out of the way and a good point to move to when fleeing. Sabs sent his crawlers to the school, which I believe he is going to set up as his Firebase Tango Alpha. I believe his intent is to set up drone support within the building.

No, I was planning on turning Rally Point One into Firebase Tango Alpha

The AUxilia (which has all of the extraneous equipment including Dahlia's massive amount of crap) and the Ares Centaur which has a mounted auto cannon rifle on it. I was planning on doing indirect sniper fire using the tacnet so he can provide rediculous fire support when the shit hits the fan.
It has a range of 1500 meters, and it does something like 10P -5A

Ok, you have 2 captives...what sort of questions do you want to ask them? When Tantilla comes along he can 'get inside their heads' but given the risk of drain I want to give him some time to make that decision. If no post from him this week I'll GM the encounter and give you some more info if needed.
I'm assuming that the teenagers are unconcious for as long as you want...Dahlia certainly has the means to wake them up if needed

...and there's not a lot on the commlink, most useful stuff is the ID of the two teenagers (neither of them related to anyone on your Target list), a list of contacts within the community (most of them fellow teenagers), some AR games and miscellaneous other stuff you'd expect to find. Searching through the diary entries there are various liaisons listed but nothing that might refer to tonight's ritual. On the other hand there are references to 'Hobbiton' which seem to imply it's a place in the community somewhere...?!?

If a fella wanted to join in, would it be easiest for you for me to grab an existing NPC and stat him up more fully, so as to easily integrate into things, or should I just create a Deep Watch character from scratch and leave it to your imagination, Aria, to fit me in somewhere?

You can still use silenced weapons on them and they appear to have cut comms to avoid detection (they aren't simply in hidden mode!) but feel free to unleash the big dogs if you prefer

First Shot:
Sensors(5)+Gunnery(4)+VR(2)+TacNet(4)+Smart Gun(2)+Take Aim(2)=19
Second Shot:
Sensors(5)+Gunnery(4)+VR(2)+TacNet(4)+Smart Gun(2)+Take Aim(1)=18
The rifle does 9P -8 AP damage.
The Centaur has been aiming for a while on the first target. so
IP 1: Aim, Fire
IP 2: Aim, Fire
IP 3: analyze outcome.
IP 4: TBD

Well it temporarily jammed your drones. But they're still working right? Did they uncover anything over there? Maybe make some drone perception rolls. Also, I believe the CO wanted the firebase in the school. But if you think its a hot zone, then you're fine in the house.

Alright. Well I just posted on our IC thread. I'm gonna lead team 1 to Hobbiton after the girl gives me all the info she can. I'm having fireteam 2 support you in taking out the bikers. Then they and you can move the school. It's probably a better vantage point anyway. If my team gets bogged down. You can cover team 2 as they make a secondary approach on the tower. They might not see the 1-2 punch coming...so to speak.

Just downloaded WAR! so I'm going to see if there's some interesting things in there to throw your way

Will try and get an IC post up later...for now, it's safe to say the two bikers are stone cold dead. As for the drones in the school they are working fine again. Although the ritual circle has been duly recorded Tantilla can't make head nor tail of it so that'll be one for later analysis. Will try and add more detail later...
EDIT: As we've not really seen significant action yet I'm happy for you to request items from WAR! that might be suitable...again, I'm not going to gaurantee you get any of them

@ Aria - I'll check it out this weekend. I'm having great fun playing in this game. Bravo so far. Anyway, I have two questions:
1. Should we send some PMs to the people who haven't been posting lately?
2. Should we wait for J Packer to get his character together and inserted? I'm assuming you can just replace him into one of the combat teams.
I guess we have another option if, the others aren't up for playing, perhaps we can take over their characters.

Do we have time to make it to the school house? while involved in a running gun fight?

@sabs - Definitely unleash the pain. Ideally, we can pepper them from range with cover whilest they are in the open terrain. Should be able to chew them up. Since you have drones in the school, as long as it looks safe, after you eliminate this patrol, take over the school for a better vantage point unless you strongly think we should reposition away from this area. See if you can get our hackers to turn their drones on them as well.
I'm going to take my team in during the halestorm of fire, see if we can't penetrate the tower via Hobbiton. Like I said, if necessary, team 2 can either elevate my team if we take too much punishment or hit them from a different angle, assuming my team take the brunt of their defenses.
Could we take their drone network down with armadillos?

It's stepping up fairly fast but you have time to get to the school before the area around there goes live (school is about 750m from the tower...)
Drone net seems to be mostly fixed cameras...the new ones seem to be a mix of other sensor stations and mobile ferret types...

Check the map again...there isn't huge amounts of open ground between the school and tower (mostly woodland)...you've been getting a 'bird's eye view'! I’ve updated the map with the lines of advance that I think you are making – as always feel free to disagree if you see it being some other direction.
Here are links to some underground houses that will give you some idea of what I’m thinking about for Hobbiton

here!. There are just a lot more trees around the Stillwater ones with the houses built in to clearings in the woods. They are all linked together with underground ‘streets’ to form a continuous network.
I’ll work out karma and cash awards soon and you can spend them ‘in game’ provided you can rationalise them – I’m thinking about things like skill specialisations in particular.

The only drones I have at the school are the little creepy crawler ones.
But I can move my rotodrones with the heavy machineguns and the grenade launcher forward

And I can use my Ares Centaur with the sniper rifle to start taking apart the squad.

3) My personal commlink's signal rating is 5, giving me a 4KM range.
If the outlaw is within 4km then I can reroute all the traffic through my personal commlink.
If it's farther away from that.. I'll need to juryrig something.

1. It's circling above Redmond and at its closest is probably 4-5km from you...not at the moment!
2. Signal ratings mil spec 6?!? (Not got my books around to check...)
