After the '29 Crash, after a decade we might get our first man-portable cyberdeck (and the surgeries to put a datajack on our heads)

Hm. Well, being in Denver, I'll see our first future meta-human President as he awakens from Cherry Creek next year.
Oh Dunkelzahn, you have my vote already.

If I recall corretly, Kansai was pretty much spared any awfulness, probably owing to the mana lines in Kyoto and Nara. I do recall something strange happening around Mt. Hiei and Lake Biwa, though. Maybe it was Mt. Hiei growing...?

I think he's worried about UGE and Japanese culture.

Well, then he'd be worried about Japan a hell of a lot earlier than YOTC.

Shit, by that time they'd almost returned to a semblance of sanity.

I live near the biggest and eldest Shinto temple in Japan, so I will be screwed with the mana lines, but yeah I am worried about the ring of fire blowing up.
UGE, Goblinazation and SURGE shouldnt change much of my life unless it happens to me. Think is, if SR history becomes real I cant really return to Denmark as it will be burried under a titalwave of polution :/

I live right next to Ise Shinja actually. I admit that Nara and Kyoto both have the largest concentration of temples and such, but Ise is just huge and old.
It might actually become easier being a foreigner in Japan after the Awakening, then the Japanese have other people to discriminate against ^^
