I wouldn't say our plan actually went that horribly wrong. It actually worked reasonably well. Chrome didn't get in to disable the cameras, and the bartender shrugged off two stunbolts which led to his summary execution, but that's the only stuff that got really screwed up. Even that was
The exfil required some improvisation, but going horribly wrong would have involved one or both of us raining Heimdahls and breathtaker gas grenades into a large crowd of people.
At least the spirit caught Parker when you threw his unconscious body off the balcony.
On the subject of the module, it really did feel like we were just expected to swing onto the balcony like Errol Flynn, sedate or kill almost a hundred people, grab Parker, throw down a smoke pellet and vanish into the night like Batman, leaving us with 3 hours of running for our lives and drawing on Parker's face with a Sharpie while he alternated between blind, unconscious, and trapped in hot VR.
And it was great to have another "On the Run" moment, where I'm pretty sure we missed something fairly major (like half the module, based on the stuff on the Debriefing Log) by deciding to honor the original deal we struck to sell the magical jackass. I just went back and glanced through the comments from Origins, looking to compare our experience, and yeah. We evidently missed like two thirds of the module because we got bogged down in the extraction and didn't go shop Parker around.
