Well, instead of once more digging out the old thread in which this idea came up for the new revision, I figured I might as well start my own thread, so here it is

Yep, scribd now sucks big time. As it was the first alternative that came up on Google, I have uploaded the pdf on pdfcast now:

Seems like a decent host on the first glance, but I'm open to suggestions if you know a better host. Especially the option to upload new revisions would be nice

Well, there's always public Dropbox folder, or any of its competitors. Google Docs itself, naturally. Hmm. Obviously, they don't all have web-based PDF readers, though that seems optional. Some of these services would reveal a user name of yours, which is a concern for some people.
