Ok all I will need one Perception Test from each player please - you will be making it while on the road back to your safe house while moving through Loveland. You are welcome to pick whether is Astral, through sensors, or whatever. Just throw out a a brief line telling me what you're using then toss the dice. Please apply -2 modifier if you are driving a vehicle or engaging in any other activity during the transit that would require some level of concentration.

Isalas is up! At present there are no immediate threat to respond to thought it is aware of the presence of three cherubim in the astral. You can roll me Magic or Magical Traditions or Spirits (or something similar) to identify them or learn more about them.

Zero doesn't have any of those for the spirit to draw on. Would Christian Theology work given the nature of the spirits? So mug for astral research and magic theory being useful...

Sorry, I just want to check before throwing dice. What would the pool be for the spirit? Just its Force (i.e. 7d6)?

If the spirit doesn't have the skill, it's (Force-1) for defaulting. If the spirit has the skill, it's usually (Force x2) but that's in the case of giving Knowledge skills to ally spirits. Summoned ones generally don't have knowledge skills.

BishopMcQ excellent question! The test is to avoid smashing into the barrier. The dome has encapsulated the team on the street.
JxJxA the die roller agrees its time for Zero to exit stage left apparently. Good news (kind of) the crash happens when your action comes up so you have some time still.

First: to see if
Fat Man knows what just went up:
Magical Background (6) + Logic (5) = 11d6
Arcana (1) + Logic (5) = 6d6
Assensing (4) + Intuition (6) = 10d6 [Fat Man is dual-natured so he can see its astral signature].
Fat Man is definitely letting the Pilot drive - it's not very good, but neither is he and at least the van doesn't have Gremlins
Actually, I think due to the way Gremlins works, if Fat Man rolls himself he automatically glitches and has a 5/6 chance of crit glitching too.
Sorry I missed being up earlier - I was just getting back from a trip and lost track of the thread. A few quick questions:
- Given that the Pilot is doing the driving, can Fat Man act before it and do something other than drive before the Pilot has a chance to crash us? I think it would have its own lower initiative.
- About how fast is the van going?
- Am I correct in thinking that Fat Man cannot see any enemies and doesn't have any way of knowing where they are? He beat Edmondo and Silvio in the Surprise check, but I think he failed to see anyone, so he knows we are under attack and sees the barrier, but not any NPCs.

Yeah, that's not really the way I wanted him to go out.
I'll spend my last two points of edge to negate the critical glitch to a glitch. I have to spend two because Sun mentor spirits hate it when their proteges mess up (another reason why Follower normally sighs whenever Zero rolls low).

JxJxA I feel you pain keenly. There is some times I feel like Invisible Castle hates me and wants to see my character go down in a blaze of incompetence.
UmaroVI I am looking to keep it simply at present so I am having the Pilot Test happen on the players actions. If the Pilot is making the Test then
Fat Man can act normally (Complex or two Simples plus a Free Action). I have all the vehicles moving at 25 miles per hour (a safe driving speed on a busy city street). You are correct that
Fat Man isn't aware of any enemies though he can react to any actions
Edmondo and
Silvio take or Delay until he becomes aware of enemies since he is letting the van make the test. At present you have spent a Simple (Perceive in Detail) - what did you want to do with the other Simple?

Okay, in retrospect, Fat Man probably should have just taken a guess and blasted the wall, but too late for that. Fat Man is going to hold the other simple and try to use it to take cover (probably inside the van, depending on the shape it's in) after it hits.
