Item attunement says that the attuned item gives no bonus for controlling it via AR or VR, but comlinks are listed in the item table. does this mean that you can attune a comlink and get the bonus, because you are "using" the comlink to access VR/AR?
or am i just crazy?

It specifically calls out that Attunement doesn't work through any kind of electronic interface. If you were an old school hacker, banging on a keyboard, I might give it to you. If on the other hand, you beat someone to death with your armored, chem-sealed, etc commlink--you definitely get the bonus. (And if you attuned a 2050s style cyberdeck, it'd be even better.)

Because: Shadowrun?
Shadowrun is a fun and flexible system, but no one ever accused it of being the best written or least self-contradicting one around. Almost the opposite, really.

Because commlinks still have a physical interface?

Because sometimes you need to dial a number really well?

critical success: people are envious of your ability to dial comcode numbers and make it look good.
