Physical Description

Offenbach is 6 foot tall, 170 lbs., has dark brown hair cut very short, blue eyes, and an obvious cyberarm. He typically dresses up and keeps clean, looking always sharp. He usually wears gloves in an attempt to conceal his right cyberhand. His French accent is usually kept in check, though not always.

Personality

Offenbach exudes self-confidence, almost to the point of acting with an air of superiority. He has refined tastes and enjoys all the good things in life, especially classical music and the culinary arts. He's known for being a gentleman and also something of a womanizer. He is a very independent individual who is not used to work in a team. In the criminal world, he prides himself in acting always professionally and expects to be treated the same way. He may easily refuse to work for someone he dislikes... unless he's broke and needs the money, that is.

Background

Young Maxime was born in Paris, France, 29 years ago. Brought up in poverty in a family of unsuccessful artists, he's had to take care of himself for most of his life. His father was an alcoholic and his mother was usually high on drugs, so he had to receive his education from his uncle, whom he idolized. This man was a gentleman gangster if such a thing ever existed, and he taught him a lot of the skills that make Maxime so effective today. Burglary was how it all started for him, but not where it ended.

After his uncle was arrested and imprisoned, Maxime started accepting jobs that were more and more dangerous, and he was able to hone his skills for assassination. As he was starting to make a name for himself as a hit man, he managed to make enough money to invest in cyberimplants that would turn him into a real killer. He enjoyed the criminal lifestyle, especially all the money he could then spend on expensive meals, concerts, and parties.

Proud and self-confident, he accepted to make a hit that perhaps he should have refused. The target was the prominent CEO of an up-and-coming French corporation called Gregoire Technologies. He was successful in eliminating his target and landed the big paycheck that came with it, though he was positively identified and had to run immediately. His uncle was out of prison by now, and he told Maxime that he knew a way to leave the country and get far away.

A few months later, Maxime had made his way to Perth, which was as good a destination as any other. Except that he found that the shadowrunning market was too slow for a newcomer to make a name easily. Maxime, who had now taken the street name of Offenbach, a musical composer that he appreciates, decided to try his luck in the underworld of a mining community from the Outback called Kalgoorlie.

He's been living in Kalgoorlie for 3 months, and in all that time was only able to land one job. Now, after buying new equipment locally, he is running out of money and he finds himself hard-pressed to find employment soon.

Switch is about 5'8, and weighs 80 kilos. His black hair is cut short, but usually concealed beneath a baseball cap. He is of mixed Caucasian-Japanese heritage. He dresses for comfort - jeans and a t-shirt normally. Currently he has decided that he likes the way he looks with a goatee, and is cultivating a short, well-trimmed one.

Overall, Switch is outgoing and friendly, with a self-deprecating sense of humor. He is fiercely protective of his brother, and keenly feels the guilt associated with the loss of his younger brother and his friends. While he used to be a leader in his old gang, he has not gained his confidence back enough to act in a leadership role when on a run. His combination of spells leaves him ideally suited for a support role - he is equally at home hunting down information or creating distractions for his teammates.

Henry was born and raised in Puyallup to a father who worked fixing cars and a mother who worked at a local grocery store. The oldest of 4 children, Henry was forced at a young age to find extra sources of income to help keep the family afloat. He found he had a natural talent for swiping small but valuable items, which he could pawn at a local fence. When he discovered his natural abilities, they only added to his skills. When he turn 16 he caught the attention of the local gang, the Crimson Tigers. Given the choice between using his skills to help the gang or disappear, he chose the former.

For the next 6 years he rose through the ranks of the gang, moving from petty theft to small cons. These tended to not only be less risky but more lucrative as well. He brought his two brothers Timothy and Christopher in to keep an eye on them. The (relatively) good times lasted until about 2 months ago. A failed con targeting a Vory lieutenant left Henry and his friends open to backlash from the vengeful crime syndicate. Henry lost most of his crew and Christopher to Russian hitmen before he was able to get out of Seattle with Timothy and catch a suborbital to Australia, determined to start over.

Since his arrival, he has taken the street name "Switch", and has labored to keep he and Christopher safe. Christopher is a real mess, and hasn't been able to get his life back on track after the murder of his brother. He has turned to BTLs and drugs to dull the pain, and Switch spends most of his time trying to earn enough cash and favors to keep his brother out of trouble. He has managed to make a couple local contacts - the most useful by far a local Yakuza lieutenant, Takeo Kensai.

Bobby Augustus Lee was born the New Years day 2050. His father was a government functionary and his mother cleaned rooms at a hotel downtown in Macon, Georgia, C.A.S. All had SINs before the crash of '63 and were re-issued SINs following the crash.
His mother died when he was 15 and his father turned to booze, losing his job by the time Bobby was 17. College no longer an option, Bobby married his high school sweet-heart and enlisted when he was 18.
He served 6 years, deployed most of the time. When he came home the last time, his five year old son was calling another man father. A man who warmed his bed, and his wife, at nights. Bobby was never charged with a crime, but the man would never hear Bobby's son call him “father” ever again.
After the funeral, his wife filed for divorce. She also turned his son against him, telling the boy that “Bobby killed his father”, confusing the young boy.
Bobby's own father, having nearly drunk himself to death anyway, was devastated at the allegations his son had murdered a man. He overdosed the day after the divorce was finalized.
Heart broken and exhausted from it all, Bobby just wanted to go away. At first he thought to go somewhere, anyplace, but he knew it had to be the farthest possible. Looking at a map, Australia was fully half a world away. He sold his father's house, bought a plane ticket and left.
He spent the next year reinventing himself. Becoming another person, becoming other people. He bought a fake SIN, Jack Wilson. Jack studied a little martial arts, but eskrima (fighting sticks) became a passion for him.
Money wasn't going to last forever though. In Kalgoorlie-Boulder you either work for the corporations or you died. Working in a mine wasn't his idea of a dream job. Dee was someone who could help with that. She found him work. Sometimes it wasn't nice, sometimes peopled died, but in the end he got paid. He started running using the street name Hawk, short for Hawk Eye, as a sniper and enforcer.
He has short brown hair, cacausian skin and usually wears street clothes. He has two tattoos: One of the third eye of Horus is his upper left chest and another, shaped like Rolling Stone's lips, is on his upper right chest. He keeps a short, well trimmed beard.

1. What the guy in the neighborhood thinks: I've seen a couple of different guys come and go from there. All of them quiet; keep to themselves.
2. What a new team member notices: His street name is Hawk. He's one of the quieter ones; a planner. He says he's a sniper and perimeter support.
3. What a regular team member knows: His SIN says Jack Wilson, Australian native, but sometimes an accent slips. I think its American; CAS if I make my guess. He's a pretty good sniper. Damn good with sticks or that stun baton in his hands too. I've also seen him drop into a character and pretty well become someone else. Not literally you know, but mannerisms and voice. He can do crazy things with his voice when he wants. He's got a rule though: No kids... no innocents. Strict about it too. He walked out on a Johnson once because of it. He's one of those everyone makes it out type of guys too. He strikes me as having been trained a military. Not because he's gun ho or over the top, just the opposite. The way he treats his gear. The way he refers to things and the words he chooses.
